@adamdnathan Unless we are loaning Souza and selling Destiny I can’t see how this makes sense. Here I was hoping we would look to sign a left sided defender who can play both LB and CB. Silly me.

@Zeus1882x We sold our soul to the devil last May and he came to collect at the first opportunity. The vig would make the worst loan shark proud.

@hbrooks_coach Is it possible that the college/university system just doesn't work for football, like it does for most other US sports?
English

The more and more I look into the football player development system in the USA , the more baffled I am.
It is as nonsense as it gets. In every single aspect.
The USA has some of the most talented young players u16 and under in the world.
There is pretty much nothing done to make the most of that.
And some things are such such simple fixes.
Wild.

@JackPittBrooke That is an amazing level of gratitude. I lost count of the amount of times he said thank you. Really good stuff.

I’m afraid to say this is absolute class

We could watch this all day 🥹

@Zeus1882x I caved and watched the YT video. The way he looked into Lucas’ eyes was enough for me.

He’s giving me excitement and hope which are very dangerous things

Absolutely incredible that Frank coached this level of performance and then we didn’t see anything remotely similar in terms of bravery in any other game post this

@LoveTheShirt Who will have a black eye when we line up against Sunderland?
English

@ben_bowman_ I think he will try to outscore everyone. Which to be fair is the only thing we haven't tried this year.
English

Right then. How do we think De Zerbi is going to approach this? Do we think he tries to implement his style from the get go? We've got 11 days until Sunderland so a decent amount of time on the training pitch and I honestly think that's the best way to go with these players right now than trying to sit back and be hard to beat.
You'd hope that with De Zerbi encouraging them to be more brave, take more risks a little bit of muscle memory from Ange's time kicks in and they remember that they are actually competent footballers that can build through the thirds. Obviously we haven't got the perfect profiles De Zerbi would want, especially in midfield, but I think with the empowerment to be brave I think Gray / Sarr / Bergvall and even Bentancur when he comes back is enough quality for now to help improve our build up.
Even with Vicario, you saw under Ange he was much better with his feet because he had way more options and De Zerbi likes to commit a lot of men deep into the build up.
I'm just not sure that trying to bunker down and be really hard to beat is what is going to get us out of this mess. It'll be interesting to see what opposition teams do against us now with De Zerbi in charge, whether they will press high and try and force errors trying to capitalise on the fragility of the players at the moment, or whether they'll sit back and try and expose some of De Zerbi's problems when it comes to breaking teams down and try and hit us on the break.
Kudus coming back will be back as he loves a dribbly winger. Hopefully Tel is fit too as if we are able to lure teams in and build up well, he's a very good fit to attack the space in behind as De Zerbi likes with his striker and 10 dropping in to help form that box in Midfield.
Be interesting, we'll see.
English

@jonoblain Or he backs himself to either 1 keep us up, or 2 burn the place down to ensure he goes if he doesn't keep us up. Such a dreadful situation. Hard to bear it really. Lets hope we survive and then worry about thriving afterwards.
English

@AlasdairGold Is there anyway to know how much of the £94.7m are allowable losses?
English

@matthayesthfc He stopped us playing walking football. Results didn't change but we stopped walking.
English

Here's the (poss drug-addled) thing. NOBODY is coming to "save" Spurs. Managers aren't wizards. There's no time. They can put out cones, scrawl on tablets, shake the odd fist. But in the end, for better or worse, Spurs' fate is now in the hands (feet, minds) of the players.#COYS

@dannykellywords Call me delusional but I still think it’s all gonna work out. Not based on any evidence or smart analysis. Just a feeling. #COYS
