@samrags_ Cool project. One interesting thing on verify is that it looks like the BN precompile only supports add and mul. If a MSM precompile was added to BN (as in the proposed BLS EIP) then the cost should grow sub-linearly due to the use of more efficient MSM algorithms under the hood

@mikedemarais can be used for privacy (state is encrypted and only available unencrypted inside enclave) or could be used to create a TEE-rollup (like zkRollup but relies on secure hardware instead of SNARKs). given privacy and integrity breaks of SGX needs to be combined with other techniques

@iiiitsandrea Del Maguey makes one, though it isn't 'creamy'/cloudy looking like those pics. It's a mix of Mezcal and agave syrup so more something to mix with than drink on its own imo.

@moxie Agreed it seems like a useful option in a standard. In a few years I'm guessing many NFTs will no longer be retrievable because the host is down. Anyway, this is a cool experiment and maybe the lack of a commitment that makes this possible is a feature and not a bug.

@kellymolson Yes, and CryptoPunks included the hash of the sprite sheet for all punks in the contract. I just think it's strange that the standards that emerged after, which were fundamentally designed to keep data off chain, have no provision for hash commitment of the data itself.

I created an NFT, but the image renders differently based on who's looking at it. For example, on OpenSea: opensea.io/assets/0x5c61a… ...vs on Rarible: rarible.com/token/0x5c61af… ...vs if you own it, it currently renders as a large 💩 emoji in your wallet. How this works: 1/n

@moxie This is not entirely true. Some NFTs contain the information required to render the image. E.g @dhof's @blitmap NFTs store the data on-chain that is used to render SVG images. Other projects point to a gateway that hosts content-addressable storage (e.g. IPFS).
