God’s greatest victories often look like total defeat in the eyes of the world.
That’s a powerful lesson of Good Friday, and so many still miss it.
Jesus was betrayed, arrested, beaten, mocked, and crucified.
Everything about it looked like failure.
His followers were confused.
Peter tried to stop it.
The religious leaders celebrated.
Rome thought they crushed Him.
Even Satan probably thought he won.
But they didn’t understand that the cross was the plan.
It wasn’t a backup strategy.
It wasn’t an accident.
It was God using what looked like loss to destroy the power of sin and death.
The same thing is happening today.
Sometimes God leads us straight into what looks like defeat, not because He’s abandoning us, but because He’s working through it.
Just like He did at Calvary.
So when the world mocks, when things fall apart, when it looks like the enemy wins, remember Christ’s death.
The Lamb didn’t fight back.
He laid down His life.
And by dying, He crushed the serpent’s head.
This is how God and His people win
