Trump's cabinet sat down to discuss a Venezuela oil deal that could bring prices down..
Burgum opened by telling Trump that Venezuela wants to build him a statue.. comparing him to Simón Bolívar.. the man who liberated an entire continent..
Trump stopped the meeting..
"forget that.. when is Venezuela gonna do the statue of me?"
the gas prices conversation never happened..
here's what nobody's connecting..
Burgum brought up that statue on purpose.. it's the oldest trick in politics.. flatter the king first, then slip in what you actually need.. Julius Caesar's advisors did it.. Louis XIV's ministers did it.. courtiers have used it for 2,000 years..
it worked perfectly..
except the king got so distracted by the statue that he forgot about the kingdom..
