So, Starmer thinks this ban will be constructive, but what he has completely failed to realise is that Social Media is part of children’s childhoods and that Social Media is a tool to help kids, like myself, through difficult times and banning it may lead to us regretting it all.

But just because Social Media can be harmful, doesn’t mean it’s not helpful. Years ago, when I’ve felt depressed and, to an extent, suicidal, Social Meida actually helped me get through all that. Take that away from me then, I have no idea if I’d be around to write this thread.

Keir Starmer says this ban will give kids ‘their childhood back’ but what he and other boomers in this country need to realise that times have changed, and Social Media has become a part of kids’ childhoods, wether they like it or not. (1/?)
