The countdown is almost complete! The anticipation, the preparation & the excitement have all been building towards the Grand Launch of #MissTourismBuganda2026. While the launch will be attended by invited guests only, you will be able to catch the event through a live stream.

𝐔𝐠𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐧 𝐒𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬 𝐒𝐚𝐟𝐞𝐥𝐲 𝐑𝐞𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐧 𝐇𝐨𝐦𝐞 Ugandan students evacuated from the Islamic Republic of Iran have safely arrived at Entebbe International Airport this evening following a coordinated evacuation effort. Under the leadership of the Chief of Defence Forces, Muhoozi Kainerugaba, and with the coordination of Uganda’s Defence Advisor in Türkiye, Bob Ogiki, the students were successfully organised and evacuated from Tehran. They travelled by road for approximately 24 hours to the Gürbulak Border Gate, where the Government of Türkiye facilitated their transit. From there, the students proceeded on an additional journey to Istanbul, from where they boarded a return flight on Ethiopian Airlines back home. Appreciation is extended to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uganda, the Ministry of Defence and Veteran Affairs, the Uganda Peoples' Defence Forces, and all partners whose swift coordination ensured the safe return of Ugandan nationals. #OpenGovUg
