we can hold two truths at once. we can be genuinely happy that mark is finding his own path and following his heart while also being allowed to feel this deep, personal sadness about the end of something that meant everything to us.

a lot of people are misinterpreting marks departure. he was not kicked out, his contract was expiring, he had the option to renew, he did not. he also CHOSE to leave nct on his own accord. for the past 10 years he was in between multiple groups whilst also juggling solo work —

barista dreamies, dino ABC, 7illin in the DREAM, hot sauce era, crazy boring chilling photobooks, golla ma dish era, first 7dream full album & repack, hello future era (the best btw), double million sellers, pastel purple & green season’s greetings.. 2021 was such an era to me

there will never be another idol like mark lee in kpop again..he truly was a special once in a lifetime kind of idol. i’ve never seen someone so passionate & talented & dedicated to their craft as he was im beyond proud of all he’s achieved and excited for whats to come <3

and when you really think of it mark did what an average idol could only dream to achieve in maybe three lifetimes what a legendary run
