Pope Leo's Easter message: "Let those who have weapons lay them down! Let those who have the power to unleash wars choose peace! Not a peace imposed by force, but through dialogue! Not with the desire to dominate others, but to encounter them!"

As usual I cried at yet another Good Friday service. It's the most somber and yet powerful one for me every year. We didn't sing, "Were You There When They Crucified My Lord," this year but It's still in my head and heart this evening.

In many construction zones, lanes are marked with width limits. Most semis exceed that width, so they are legally restricted to the right lane. We need this culture and law in the USA! Drivers expect the left lane to be clear for faster traffic. This is the way!

I’m doing a BBC Lenten Lectures on the theme of “power”. Broadcast: 7.45PM Sunday March 29th on Radio 4. Also available on iPlayer afterwards (and so can be heard outside the UK). Alongside a positive theology of power, it sets out a critique of those who sever power from love

For a few short weeks, each spring and happening right now, Teton Park Road goes car-free. 14 miles from Taggart Lake Trailhead to Signal Mountain is open to bikes, Onewheels, inline skates, walkers, and more. The Tetons, without the traffic. unofficialnetworks.com/2026/03/26/tet…

Incorporating my faith in Christ to separate this thinking from nationalism, if our collective decisions and actions hurt and dehumanize others created in God's image, that's a waving red flag 🚩.

Imagine if the voices framing our core identity and our imaginations focused on our similarities instead of our differences. Imagine if we desired common ground (dyadic) instead of binary differences. That's the reset button!

What a story! A janitor at a Yale University teaching hospital earned a college degree while working full time, then went to med school and is now returning to the same hospital as a resident in anesthesiology! washingtonpost.com/lifestyle/2026… Mentors matter so much!

“It’s easier to portray a world that’s filled with cynicism and anger, where problems are solved through violence. What’s a whole lot tougher is to present other ways conflicts can be resolved…. To do that, you have to run the risk of being called a do-gooder.” -- Jim Henson

“I want to renew my call for a ceasefire, to work for peace — not with weapons — but through dialogue, genuinely seeking a solution for everyone. “Hatred is growing now. Violence is getting worse. There are more than one million displaced people and so many dead. “We can pray for peace, but I invite all authorities to truly work through dialogue to solve the problems.” — Pope Leo XIV
