🚨 𝗘𝗫𝗖𝗟𝗨𝗦𝗜𝗩𝗘: 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗡𝗲𝗽𝘁𝘂𝗻𝗲 𝗠𝗶𝗿𝗮𝗰𝗹𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗢𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗦𝗶𝗻𝗱𝗼𝗼𝗿 𝗛𝗼𝘄 𝗮𝗻 𝗜𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗮𝗻 𝗡𝗮𝘃𝘆 𝗣-𝟴𝗜 𝗗𝗼𝗱𝗴𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗨𝗻𝗯𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗣𝗟-𝟭𝟱 🚨 Almost a year after the intense aerial skirmishes of May 2025, new details have emerged regarding the extraordinary bravery of Commander Saurabh Kumar (Call Sign: Whiskey). His actions didn't just save a $250M aircraft; they handed India a Tech Bonanza that changed the Himalayan air-warfare game forever. ⚓ 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗠𝗜𝗦𝗦𝗜𝗢𝗡: 𝗜𝗦𝗥 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗞𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗭𝗼𝗻𝗲 During Operation Sindoor (launched after the Pahalgam attack), the P-8I Poseidon usually a maritime hunter was deployed to the Northern Sector. Tasked with feeding real-time target coordinates to the Army and IAF, the massive four-engine jet was operating in a nightmare scenario: Heavy electronic warfare and GPS spoofing. Restricted maneuvering space. A Pakistani J-10C launched multiple PL-15E BVR missiles in a radar-silent attempt to take down India’s premier ISR asset. 🔄 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗘𝗩𝗔𝗦𝗜𝗢𝗡: 𝗔 𝗠𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗰𝗹𝗮𝘀𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝗔𝗶𝗿𝗺𝗮𝗻𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽 As the missile warning screamed, Commander Kumar didn't panic. Pushing the P-8I to its structural limits, he executed a series of aggressive, high-G evasive maneuvers combined with advanced Electronic Support Measures (ESM). By dancing the giant Neptune through the narrow corridors of the mountains, he broke the missile's lock. The PL-15s, deprived of their target and suffering from failed self-destruct mechanisms, plummeted across the border. 🔎 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗧𝗘𝗖𝗛 𝗕𝗢𝗡𝗔𝗡𝗭𝗔 This is why wreckage was found in Hoshiarpur, Punjab. The recovery of a near-intact PL-15E was a goldmine for Indian scientists: ▶️India gained direct access to the missile’s seeker frequencies. ▶️DRDO analyzed the propulsion tech that gives the PL-15 its massive No-Escape Zone. ▶️The failure of the self-destruct mechanism proved the missile wasn't as mature as claimed. 🎖️ 𝗡𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡𝗔𝗟 𝗥𝗘𝗖𝗢𝗚𝗡𝗜𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡 For his professional excellence and indomitable courage, Commander Saurabh Kumar has been awarded the Nao Sena Medal (Gallantry) by CNS Admiral D.K. Tripathi. His composure under fire ensured the success of the mission, proving that even a large surveillance plane is a formidable target when helmed by the best in the business. #IndianNavy #OperationSindoor #P8I #PL15 @ajaykraina @TGD_06 @col_chaubey

Field Marshal Manekshaw, the last giant of shared British Indian military history and someone whose unparalleled conduct has always inspired me: a soldier of the FF Regt, a veteran of the Waziristan Campaign, a qualified intrepreter of Pashto (complementing his command over 5 other languages), a coursemate of two future Pakistani and Burmese Chiefs (Gen. Musa and Gen. Dun), SO (along with Gen. Yahya) to the WWII-winning Field Marshal Auchinleck, a 9-times shot WWII veteran, the boxing partner of another Pakistani Chief (Gen. Tikka), and of course, the gracious victor of '71. Despite leading an infantry brigade against Pakistan in '48 and winning in '71, he maintained affinity with his unit, 4/12 FF, and his regiment - both of which joined the Pakistan Army. He even nominated Capt. Ahsan Malik - for the stout defence of Kamalpur - to the Pakistani COAS for a gallantry award. India's saffronized military of today could learn a great deal from his grace.
