⚠️The 10 week #PIP consultation is rushed over Easter, bank holidays and the exam season. It limits participation by design — a repeat of last year. The DWP and the Timms review had 8 months to do this. They chose not to. They are doing it now, with a media hate campaign ready.
LabyrinthMind@LabyrinthADHD

@ScribblerPen @CounsellingSam @DWPgovuk This lands right in the middle of "University final project/dissertation" season. So if you're disabled, work, and go to uni, they also want you to reply to a very important/high-stakes call for evidence. We had months to do this. Any other time would have been better.

Bills could be cut by up over £200 a year by stopping gas setting the price of energy in the UK. Government could do this now as part of a series of measures to insulate us from the shockwaves of this war. This isn't a time for half-measures, we need serious action and fast.
Common Wealth@Cmmonwealth

Today we argue the Government should pass “emergency legislation and instruct the National Energy System Operator to act as a single buyer of power”. This would decouple electricity prices from gas. Our latest report discussed in the @NewStatesman. newstatesman.com/politics/uk-po…

Obviously that's not the exact quote, but in this speech, Richard Tice argues that rich landlords use every legal loophole possible to avoid paying tax. Poor people CAN'T use these loopholes. And any billionaire who was truly patriotic, WOULDN'T. youtu.be/zdDRU3DW5To

Wes Streeting having the chutzpah to tell the story about the NHS. He doesn't tell the bit about how much he's accepted from private healthcare and the risk our NHS is at under this Labour Government. And most of all, lots of questions about his meetings with Palantir. #BBCQT

"It's a question of where’s that money's going? And you've handed over our private patient data to Palantir, a company with far-right connections. If that money was instead going into the front line, we might all have a better chance of having a better NHS" @CarolineLucas on the NHS and Palantir on #BBCQT

(According to someone else’s maths admittedly) that’s only 0.13% of the population a year excluding natural population growth. But the average viewer of this will see it as a cataclysmic issue and will fight to make those who are disabled and mentally struggling life’s worse.

@kitmalthouse Kit, sod right off using dying people & their suffering as your guise. This was the government’s attempt at a cheaper alternative to funding quality palliative care & welfare. YOU personally voted to remove safeguards for non terminal disabilities during the committee stage…

Katie@LuxMeaMundiAM

THIS is exactly why I’ve been calling this out from the committee stage. I watched them vote down safeguards for non-terminal disabilities WHY does an assisted dying bill assured ONLY for terminally ill people need those safeguards removed? This is why. It was the plan all along

PIP success rates drop even further to a new low of 35%. They were at 55% under the Tories, but we must all continue the delusion that getting it is easier and you don't have to provide any evidence.
DPAC@Dis_PPL_Protest

#PIP #DWP For the quarter ending January 2026, the percentage of new claims that received an award was just 35%, down from 43% a year ago. benefitsandwork.co.uk/news/pip-succe…

Now you know why they've covered the entire perimeter in tarps at RAF Fairford. 👇 They don't want you to see THIS: the massive piles of 2,000lb bombs being loaded onto US bombers for Iran strikes. Keir Starmer is complicit in war crimes (again).

Starmer claims we're not involved in this illegal war on Iran. 🇮🇷 Reality: UK bases fuel US bombers pounding Iran illegally. 💥 This is complicity in war crimes. Starmer is Trump’s poodle. 🇬🇧

PIP allows many disabled people to remain in work and live independently. I know someone who lost PIP, who then had to give up work and move into a care home costing over 70k a year. Great job DWP, what a saving!
