this months sci fi & fantasy book club book ! we're going to be reading iron widow by xiran jay zhao, i remember seeing the authors videos when the book came out so i'm super excited to finally read it! we'll be meeting on saturday 7th may at 7pm gmt to yap & review~

it's bookclub time ! we're venturing more into horror this time, with the gunslinger by stephen king— the first book in the dark tower series. lets start in half an hour at 7pm gmt

think the next few books i'm going to read are all going to be sequals of series i've started there's quite a few i want to finish

i should read more heist books they're really fun

i wish waterstones would have each of there locations as seperate accounts on eventbrite, navigating to see book tours that are close to you is such a hassle

cr: parable of the sower by ocatavie e butler, i never know how to post about crs when i read them digitally, this is technically a reread tho it's been over a decade so i can't remember much

@J_studydiary a lot of people do really like it! i think it's almost because i've heard such positive things that i was sad about it? page to page it was quite fun but the themes and overarching story fell flat for me

kinda disappointed by one dark window </3 i'd heard so many good things but i just felt that the themes weren't connected to the characters actions& could have been so easily reframed to work well but rang hollow, i was planning to read the sequel next but don't think i'll bother

only slept two hours last night but feel the most awake and rested i've been in weeks on 0 caffeine hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm (do i stay up to finish cleaning the fridge & freezer and or catch up on notes on the gunslinger)

got there with 3 minutes to spare ! was alright tho next time i'll know there's no warm up at the start, my arches are cramping so bad from a cold start

going to a new studio for barre today and my bus is running late, i gave myself 15 mins leeway when planning the trip but this is waaay closer than i wanted especially for a new environment 🥹

one day i will find cute book ends in a charity shop

mid feburary reading wrap up ! (i'm a day late since i forgot the month is so short, a bit slow to start off the month but that always happens when i'm reading classics)
