@5BNylonTip Ok. We're going to take back our country, and you're going to call us racist. What now?

One Nation didn’t just suddenly appear and start making people racist, One Nation and its ilk exist *because* people are racist.

@Noahpinion Without commenting on the underlying moral philosophy discussion: just a couple days ago California charged Amazon, which owns Whole Foods, of stealing from consumers via illegal price-fixing schemes... newsweek.com/amazon-accused…

@lionjrl @KyleKulinski Ok cool so we agree it has little to do with the elasticity of the aggregated healthcare demand.

@oldeborg @KyleKulinski They are oligopolies atm, they have been vertically and horizontally integrating, with how bad US is at stopping monopolies for the last 60+ yrs it's only a matter of time. But ologopolies are bad enough, one raises prices adds fees the rest follow (price leadership)

@lionjrl @KyleKulinski Ok but you understand that each individual firm doesn’t face inelastic demand, right? Individual firms in healthcare are not monopolies. They compete with each for market share. They face elastic demand curves.

@oldeborg @KyleKulinski Read adam Smith. When you need something to live like medicine or medical treatment you will pay anything for it, and if as a provider aka corporation you can make more money charging more, but treating less ppl, you will do that to maximize profits, to the detriment of society.

@lionjrl @KyleKulinski Also I have no idea where this meme of ‘inelastic demand is not compatible with markets’ even comes from. A lot of people parrot it but it makes no sense and nobody can explain it. The demand facing any individual provider is quite elastic!!

@oldeborg @KyleKulinski Why don't you go pave your own roads, put out your own fires, inspect your own food/goods. You refuse to understand the truth that government needs to provide certain services, and Healthcare is one of them. Inelastic demand is not compatible with markets.

@lionjrl @KyleKulinski that’s not the point I am making. I am pointing out how stupid it is to select specifically Thompson as culpable, when there are many people who could have also plausibly acted otherwise to provide the healthcare. The surgeon is the one charging exhorbitantly for their services!

@oldeborg @GyllKing I don't see how it's any weirder than wanting to get married but not have kids. To some extent the want for a child is separate from wanting a significant other so it's kind of weird for that to be the more important part.

Why not men whose female partner has died? What is different about them as men? This statement is entirely illogical isn’t it?

@lionjrl @KyleKulinski Why did the surgeons sell their practices to big corporations? They should have just stayed open and done cheap surgery on the needy. Very greedy of them.

@oldeborg @KyleKulinski Private practices r going under and or bought out by corporations, surgeons r employees. Surgeons employers bribe gov with campaign donations/future employment for politicians or their family to prevent universal Healthcare and make current system more profitable/less effective

@cavsfan1021 @CharlotteAlter If a doctor normally charges $5000 for surgery, but refuses to do it for $1000 for a poor but needy patient, is he also a murderer?

@CharlotteAlter That means that Brian Thompson’s company killed over 30 Americans per day, and weren’t even in line with industry practice, so at least a few of those wouldn’t have died with a different insurer. Even if you assume it’s only 1 more than the avg/ day, Thompson was a serial killer

@KennyEdw @KonstantinKisin Yes they create wealth for huge numbers of people 1. The people who invested in their companies 2. The thousands of people they employ, many of whom are very well compensated to the point they can build generational wealth. Not to mention the value they provide to consumers.

I do wonder if anyone on the left will ever realise that driving millions of people (including billionaires) who used to vote for you away with lunatic policies and then implying they're bad people for not voting for you is not a winning strategy? Most tech oligarchs were compliant little wokeists or at best silent and complicit objectors until very recently. Same with many in business. As it was in the UK where wealthy people were standing in line to give money and support to Tony Blair and Peter Mandelson. If you don't want media platforms to be owned by wealthy people who support your opponents, don't complain - give them someone better to vote for!

Trump’s billionaire allies will now control: CNN, Fox News, CBS, WaPo, WSJ and NY Post — plus 450 local TV stations, including news, in 95% of U.S. markets. X, Facebook, Instagram, Threads, WhatsApp, TikTok, Truth and Twitch. Plus Gemini, ChatGPT and Grok. They’ll make sure Trump’s lies are legitimized and the truth is always questioned.

@restoreorderusa @captive_dreamer Yeah Matt Walsh is wrong here. I quite like my libtarded white brethren. I think they are catastrophically wrong, and often vapid moral preeners, and I don’t want them anywhere near power, but so what? They are still my brothers. Besides they produce cool art some of the time.

Matt Walsh argues that social conservatism should be the dividing line on the right. Given the left's assault on healthy values, I get where he's coming from. But issues like immigration, crime, and anti-white discrimination are far more important in the grand scheme of things.
Matt Walsh@MattWalshBlog

If we’re going to have a conservative civil war, the dividing line should be those who believe in protecting and preserving marriage, the family, and unborn life vs those indifferent or opposed. You can’t be a conservative in any meaningful sense if you don’t want to conserve the bedrock of civilization itself.

I dont think spreadsheet projections should determine how many disabled people are allowed in society. Oh there's more disabled people than the gov predicted? Okay? Tax the overflowing $$$ from the incomprehensibly wealthy and help my neighbours, co-workers, friends and family.
