A fun and challenging day on the mini-golf course with the VEX robots. Thanks to #delmargolfcenter for free use of the course. @jrgolfcoachmatt @VEXRobotics

@whisperinedtech @birdbraintech It was 100% the students. I gave them kits, cardboard and the freedom to build what they wanted.

Next level #HummingbirdKit games w/@olsonscience: “Motorized conveyor belt with adjustable speed. Students control a 'car' that has an ultrasonic sensor to signal when an obstacle has been detected. Design also includes lights & a servo controlled speedometer.” 😲😲

Hey all...I'm looking to buy more @microbit_edu gear for our ES students @FIS_School What are the best electronics kits & extensions that you recommend for #PBL + #makered activities? @CoraEdTech @stulowe80 @mrkpyp @coby_mr @MrCroughan @PeterMarshman @Sfm36 @comp4sch #microbit

Students get feedback on Pactful project proposals and prototypes. Next steps- students will refine their prototypes and prepare a pitch to present ideas. @PactfulApp @USD_JI #GlobalGoals

Excited to guide STEM students through the design process with projects focused on the #globalgoals.

@KaleidoscopeSci I often modify ideas for units from @TeachNgineering and for single day activities I use PBS Design Squad

Today's question: Where do you go for STEM lesson plans when you need something simple, quick, and effective? #STEMed #STEAM #STEM #education
English

@RoukPhysics Students had to push the competition out of a 18x18 inch box.
English

@olsonscience What's the goal there? See a lot of potential to increase engagement.

@GiftedTawk @microbit_edu with @birdbraintech Hummingbird Kit. Add some hot glue and cardboard and you have endless possibilities

@jillsciteach @birdbraintech Exact same thing in my class- and we’re on our 6th week with these kits!!

@BethKleinman @RasmusCarlsson8 @birdbraintech @microbit_edu I intentionally keep instructions vague to give students the freedom to design. The only requirements were to use at least two sensors or inputs and two or three “outputs”- motors, lights or sound. This pair of students came up with this design.
English

@olsonscience @RasmusCarlsson8 @birdbraintech @microbit_edu This is amazing! Where can I find instructions for making it, please? Or, is the “recipe” in your brain, like many grandmothers used to do? 😉
English

@WhyMaker @birdbraintech @microbit_edu I can’t take the credit… I told students to create something using at least two inputs/sensors and at least two “outputs” and then let them run with it. This was all the work of a pair of 7th graders over the course of three weeks.
English

@mschoenberger @MH_AllenSchool @birdbraintech @microbit_edu Those kits are the best thing I’ve purchased for my STEM classes in years.

Two more flocks to add to the collection! This will allow me to make groups smaller this year! So excited! @MH_AllenSchool @birdbraintech @microbit_edu #STEMeducation #STEM

English

@jillsciteach @birdbraintech My class has done amazing projects with those kits!

Grade 8 introduction to @birdbraintech hummingbird bit. We mastered blinking lights today! I can’t wait to see a room full of Tiny Drummers!
