One week into Robinhood Chain, here’s what’s real, what’s hype and where it’s headed. Major moves from @RobinhoodCrypto • Mainnet went live July 1 Arbitrum-based Ethereum L2 for tokenized RWAs, with DeFi + agentic trading built in day one • 95 Stock Tokens (NVDA, AAPL, GOOG…) live in 120+ countries, tradeable 24/7, usable as DeFi collateral • Robinhood Earn (Morpho-powered) targeting ~7% APY on USDG • Chainlink runs oracles + cross-chain infra, Uniswap is the primary AMM • Arcus built by the dYdX team launched as a zero-fee stock-token DEX on day on One week in, the scale is already real: • 17M+ transactions • ~350K total addresses • $1B+ in cumulative DEX volume For a chain that’s 7 days old, that’s a serious base of activity. • Robinhood Chain overtook Hyperliquid in 24h volume: $462.2M vs $296M as of July 10. The gap’s widened since a July 9 flip ($433M vs $296M) a real, sticking shift in the on-chain trading pecking order. • But look closer. On July 8 one week post-launch DEX volume hit $560–570M against just $21.68M in TVL at the time a 26:1 turnover ratio. That’s not organic usage, that’s speculation. CASHCAT alone drove ~$98M of it. • TVL has since grown to nearly $250M but here’s the twist: the growth since that spike has mostly come from Morpho and Ethena (lending), not memecoins. Tokenized equities still sit around ~$12.6M on-chain. So the mix is shifting toward “real” capital, even if stock tokens remain small. •This is the exact pattern Base, Blast, and Scroll all went through: huge speculative volume on day one, then the real test does liquidity stick, or migrate the moment the next hot token launches elsewhere? • The real question isn’t whether Robinhood Chain has traction. It clearly does. It’s whether the serious RWA and agentic use cases can catch up to the memecoin volume before that volume moves on. Early days, foundation being laid aggressively. I still think the market is underestimating the potential of AI in sports. With the World Cup dominating global attention right now, millions of people are following matches, debating outcomes, analyzing teams, and consuming sports data at an unprecedented scale.
