Reading about @wevoltau gaining $2m investment (like @plugshare but you can require a fee for sharing your charger). Great to see another EV platform emerging from Perth. I look after the openchargemap.org project, which is the largest EV Open Data set in the world.

@RolandvanderPut @NissanElectricA @Fastned @FastnedFrance Thank you Roland. We have used a couple of these sources (France and UK mainly). They have a fragmented data schema, the requirement for data cleanup is very high and some of the imports are non-repeatable. Google probably do manage OK.

@NissanElectricA @Fastned @FastnedFrance We would be happy to come to an arrangement where OCM could be managed by the charging network industry via their own foundation etc. We serve millions of queries per month, but it needs to be up to the industry to ensure accuracy and completeness as they are a beneficiary.

@NissanElectricA @Fastned @FastnedFrance No. There are currently no major networks feeding us data via OCPI, so we still rely on users manually entering data, which could of course be inaccurate. OCM are not going to enter into individual legal agreements with networks, because there are several thousand globally.

Of the 143K visitors per month to our API, many of those are in fact other services which go on to share our data with hundreds of thousands more people. There is no downside to sharing your charging network location data with us, except more customers.

@NissanElectricA @Fastned Any charging network (data owner) can now submit a open data sharing agreement to us via: openchargemap.org/site/about/dat… We accept OCPI feeds but can also accept other standards.

@Fastned Please have @open_charge_map get an API link to update all stations. They are not up to date.

@dimix Hi Dimitri, thanks for using our service. We are currently not updating the static list of apps because we intend to switch to a directory listing based on app key registrations. There are currently over 1100 registered "apps" with 166 enabled for public listing.
