I like the option of voting for different policies and advocating for them, while choosing to live in lower tax jurisdictions. No one needs to have their upkeep from the govt, it's literally not their job to do those things. But letting people work without every dollar being immediately taxed, would create tons of opportunity

A Section 8 worker describes what she sees. Rent fully covered. Groceries paid. Monthly government checks. “And at the end of the year—they STILL get tax refunds” What does it say about the system when everything’s paid for—yet refunds still go out to those who NEVER paid in?

The fact we are going to have our first trillionaire before everyone has access to clean drinking water is proof our current system is not for the greater good but for the greedy.

US troops are not in Germany to protect Germany. They’re there because the US needs bases to conduct operations beyond the North American continent. If Trump withdraws them, he will harm the United States, not Germany. It’s absurd how many Americans fail to grasp this.

It's not true because if no one buys your labor, it ain't worth shit. Likewise, if a hire a gardener to deck out my curb appeal and my house is worth 10k more bec of it, the gardener doesn't suddenly deserve the $10k value his work created. He worked on my asset, and got paid whatever rate they charge. The rest is mine bec it's my house. Same for any business.

@American1068 @patternote @TruthHurtsDemz @em_Lazzy This quite literally makes zero sense. Because the buyers ability to buy comes from thier ability to sell their labor. And the product being bought also wouldnt exist without labor. This is becoming boring.

Ok all the innovations you use every day were developed in capitalist countries. Not only is capitalism better at innovation, it's also hands down the best method for bringing those innovations to the masses. Even China started doing better becoming more capitalist. Communism devours it's own children (USSR, China are 2 strong examples. No, you can't have non dictatorial communism. It's authoritarian by definition).

@patternote @American1068 @TruthHurtsDemz @em_Lazzy No. There are 7 million advertised jobs. Which is not only a low number relative to the seeking market but the assumption that all of those postings are there to be filled is also incorrect. Many places are posting jobs with no intention of filling them. See: ghost jobs

@patternote @Whatamess24 @alluringmedia You're right going from 15T to 19T over 2020 isn't that bad. You know what is bad, is going from 4T to 15T over the course of 2019. We literally never produced more oil than under Biden in 2023 and 2024. Just an absurdly wrong claim to make that he stifled production

Bush destroyed Clinton's economy. Obama fixed Bush's mess. Trump destroyed Obama's economy. Biden fixed Trump’s mess and now Trump has destroyed what Biden fixed. The biggest lie that Republicans have gotten away with is that they are better for the economy.

@patternote @American1068 @TruthHurtsDemz @em_Lazzy Again; only labor creates value. Isolate labor from any other factor and only labor will create value. Nothing else on its own can do so without labor. And capitalists literally punish innovation. We literally have scientists vanishing this year over energy innovations.

Alright im gonna say it- I buy cokes and Kool Aid bursts with my SNAP benefits, sue me. I believe we should be able to buy whatever drink or food with SNAP. There are far more important issues in the world than what someone on SNAP buys.

@American1068 @patternote @TruthHurtsDemz @em_Lazzy None of this addresses the point of how the actual relationship between capital owners and workers operates or the allocation of risk in practical society. Workers face homelessness, food insecurity and lack of medical access without risk of massive debt. Be real

Not 4x, it went from 15t Jan 2020 to 19t Dec 2020. But i agree, printing all this money was bad. Extended shutdowns, esp at the California ports, hobbled supply. Biden also restricted production here at home, which we were supposed to take advantage of after opec limited production... Thing is, inflation was nice and stable till several months after Biden came in.

@patternote @Whatamess24 @alluringmedia The money supply in the US increased 4x in 2020, under Trump. Combine that with his OPEC deal that throttled oil production through April 2022, which also drives up costs across the board as everything opened back up post COVID, you get inflation. And we fared better than most

How do people think billionaires get their money? From the magic money tree? It's you, slaving away. And them stealing your wages and then saying they won't even pay any tax for your Public Services either. But you're the lazy one.
