Great series, I resonate so much with this one in particular as my most common frustration point in Melee is when the "communication" is out of whack.

@AresxBlitz Hard shield stun formula is: (damage * 0.45 + 2) * 200 / 201 Light shield stun formula: (damage * (0.65 * (1 - (n/140 - 0.3) / 0.7)) + 2) * 200 / 201, where n is between 43 and 140 for lightest and hard shield. With lightest shield (n=139) you wouldn't get more stun.

Surely one melee mega sweat will read this: If I just barely don’t get hard press shield and I’m doing the smallest amount of light shield before a full digital press, do I incur more shield stun? I have a million issues piloting my char in melee due to brawl/pm muscle memory

@AresxBlitz ...as the number gets rounded down and even if your shield is hit by a fully charged Roy's Flare Blade (50%), it's still the same stun. Though I doubt you'd get n=139 lightshields, so feel free to plug some more numbers (against more reasonable moves as well).

I feel like the Melee fox ditto dynamic can be very aptly described by the phrase: "Quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog". You feel it very distinctly when you're the lazy one.

Probably my favourite non-mainstream MMO in a long while. Looks and runs like absolute shit, but there's just so much whimsy, and skilling up random ass stuff is pure crack.

This Genesis melee bracket is so crazy storyline-wise when you put it into words. Rank 1 player in the world got knocked into losers by a high school kid playing Luigi, and lost in losers to the rank 2 player to get 17th place.
