@DailyNorseman I must have misinterpreted your initial post. My point is, Kwesi has only indicated as long as he is GM, JJ is a Viking. The time it took to get a deal seemed to spark the media circus and spin that a trade is a possibility, which internally it never was.

@plexiglass13 Alec hasn't been putting out BS rumors about how the Vikings were going to trade Jefferson or that Jefferson was unhappy with the team. Nothing but respect for Alec's work.

Again, it's amazing how many people have (apparently) known all along that the Vikings had no real interest in trading Justin Jefferson and couldn't be bothered to pass that little tidbit to us schlubs that consume their content on a regular basis.

I’m really excited today for the people who never stopped watching this team. They maybe didn’t go to a ton of games, but they were always watching. They had other hobbies cared about other things, but they had a Wolves group message that pinged whenever Shabazz Muhammad would get hot. They maybe even just did it on their own, watched alone — late at night with JimPete and on Wolves twitter, after they put the kids down. For those people, for a while, it was a weird hobby, but it was their hobby. They didn’t care, they weren’t gonna stop watching the Wolves — something about it, no matter how bad the team was, felt like a connection to something they liked before. That was worth holding onto. I’m excited because now all of those people are in the same space — out there, naming it. And when they walk by each other and you kinda make eye contact, you know you have something in common, you’ve seen some shit. But you’re still here. And even if you don’t say it, you’re both thinking it: “Naz Reid”

As a parent I’m not worried that my 9 and 13 year olds are going to be “indoctrinated” with “wokeness” at school. I’m not worried that they’re going to ‘feel guilty about their whiteness’ because they’re learning accurate history. I’m not worried that they’re going to be “groomed” to become furries and to make their pees pees in litter boxes. Those things aren’t real. Wanna know what is real? My worry that they’re going to get shot. That someone with an AR-15 is going to go into their school and shoot them. So, while the same gun fetishizing, AR-15 lapel pin wearing, locked and loaded family Christmas card posing Republicans fear monger & manufacture crises under the guise of “parents rights”, I say this: It is my right as a parent to send my kids to school without worrying that they will get shot. It ain’t the drag queens, the African American history, the books with two moms or two seahorse dads which threaten our kids. It’s the fucking guns.

@Ihartitz Another lesson on why teams shouldn’t just spend money to spend money. Can really set you back. Teams need to be more creative about how they use cap space including acquiring more talented players via trade than what they’d get on the open market.
