A guy got into the front seat of a taxi because he wanted the window seat, leaving the middle seat empty. When another passenger came to sit, he stepped out to let him in, only for the second passenger to get in, shut the door, and tell the driver he’d pay for the empty seat so the first guy couldn’t get back in 😂😂😂 As the journey went on, he even allowed the driver to add someone else to that seat, and still paid for both seats. People are petty 😂😂😂😂😂

She became a sacrificial lamb. Other ministers were also found in possession of iron sheets meant for vulnerable people in Karamoja. Kitutu, the former minister and her boss who sanctioned the giveaway of the iron sheets, was exonerated. Police also found Kitutu’s brother-in-law with the same type of iron sheets, but she was exonerated for that as well. In Rugolobi’s case, there was evidence that he had used the iron sheets to roof his goat house, but due to pressure from voters, he was also exonerated. This is selective prosecution.
Daily Monitor@DailyMonitor

JUST IN: The Anti-Corruption Court has convicted former State Minister for Karamoja Affairs, Agnes Nandutu, over the diversion of 2,000 iron sheets meant for vulnerable communities in the Karamoja sub-region. Court found that Nandutu knowingly received and retained government property that was not lawfully allocated to her and which she had reason to believe had been irregularly diverted from a public programme intended for vulnerable beneficiaries. Her bail has been cancelled as she's remanded to Luzira Prison until Friday this week for sentencing, Juliet Kigongo reports. #MonitorUpdates

Heartbroken for the mother I saw at @UgEquityBank Hoima Branch today. She sat from 1 PM to 4 PM with a sick, crying infant. Only ONE attendant was serving dozens of people. The system is broken. When she finally approached the Operations Manager’s office at 4pm for help, she was told to leave because the manager "couldn't help much." Since when is a sick child not a priority for quick service? To make matters worse, an epileptic customer collapsed in the hall during the chaos. @UgEquityBank, you need to address staffing levels and train your managers in crisis empathy immediately. This is unacceptable. No one was there to assist the mother on how to fill the form, as you can see, on expected turnover, the mother wrote a date instead. Yes, the mother walked away hours later without service. @KeEquityBank @UgEquityBank

Alongside his twin brother and other comrades, we visited our brother Alex Waiswa Mufumbiro at Luzira Upper Prison this morning, following the death of his wife to try and comfort him in this very sad situation. He is devastated by the news, which he first learnt from fellow prisoners who heard it on radio. His greatest regret is that he was not able to be by her side as she breathed her last. He hopes against hope that he can be released on bail so that he lays her to rest. What hurts him more is that on the day the regime claims he took part in "unlawful drilling," he was at Uganda Cancer Institute, desperately trying to get medical attention for his wife. The price of freedom! Let's all keep him in our prayers.

No one is paying that much attention to you or your problems. We like to think of ourselves as the center of the world and we assume everyone notices us, our mistakes, our failings, our flaws etc. The truth is people are self-absorbed & focused on their own lives, not yours. It may seem like everyone is looking at the mistakes you’re making & judging you, but they really aren’t. You walk around worrying that people are staring at the pimple on your forehead but really, no one is. There is a cognitive bias known as the spotlight effect where individuals overestimate how much others notice, judge, or focus on their appearance, actions, and mistakes. And because of that, we often develop unnecessary anxiety, self-consciousness & fear of judgement because we think the world is watching us closely. Many people even sink into depression because they think the world is judging them. The fact is - people are more focused on themselves than they are on you. Next time something embarrassing happens in your life and you’re worried about what the world will think, breathe - no one is even paying attention.

DSTV is unfortunately still the better option. You hear the whole Kisaasi shouting when for you, on your live streaming app the ball is still with the goalkeeper.
