Anyone thinking the Pistons are frauds doesn’t know anything about basketball. Orlando simply matches up against them perfectly because of their size if this was anyone else Detroit would be dominating them

Pistons Opinion: This could come across as a massive cope, but stick with me here. In a strange way, I actually think losing this series to Orlando will help Detroit in their long-term plans to become a real championship contender. Allow me to explain. The Pistons won 60 games, but they very clearly have both a 3-point shooting issue and a secondary shot creator issue. Neither Duren nor Tobias is a real #2 option on a true championship-level team. I can imagine a hypothetical world where, if Detroit had won this series and played competitively against the winner of CLE/TOR, the front office might have stayed the course and simply trusted the process. Because of this losing series, I’m much more confident we’ll see Detroit swing a big trade. Orlando is up in this series in large part because Desmond Bane came to town. Detroit needs to make a similar move to relieve Cade of his ridiculous usage rate, which isn’t sustainable long-term. I’m sad today as a Pistons fan, but I’d rather be sad over playoff losses than ever be 14-68 again. Bright days ahead. Still love my team despite being on upset watch. #DetroitBasketball

Orlando deserve it more. They’re gonna give Cleveland/Toronto a hell of a series that’s for sure. Pistons no where near good enough, and this series is as good as done. A lot needs to happen in summer. A lot.
