Today in Rock History April 27, 1951 Ace Frehley (born Paul Daniel Frehley) is born in NYC. He is the original lead guitarist, occasional lead vocalist, and co-founder of KISS, active from 1973–1982 and 1996–2002. Frehley died October 16, 2025 at 74 years of age.
