Thanks to all for the offers, but I'm not interested in meeting singles in my area, or learning more about crypto, or getting pictures in my DMs. I'll never subscribe to anything or buy anything, and I'm happily married (and my wife is an excellent shot).

Lincoln suspended habeas corpus, applied martial law and military trials to civilian dissenters, & shut down opposition newspapers Wilson applied the Sedition act to criminalize war opposition, jailed dissenters for 'disloyal' speech, waged the first 'red scare' raids against/expulsions of communists FDR interned the Japanese, setup small-f fascist state control of the economy (price-fixing, quotas, 'Blue Eagle' economic loyalty-tests & enforcement), stayed in power till death

Jane Fonda: “This is the first time in the history of the US that an authoritarian regime has broken through. Worldwide historians who study these things all agree it has never happened so fast in any industrialized democracy. He is moving to consolidate very very fast which means right now we have to use the tools we have to stop it”

I’d feel a lot more solidarity with the “No Kings” protesters if they weren’t salivating to pick new masters for me and everyone else during the coming election seasons—after which they will retreat back into ignorance and apathy while their team rules with impunity and authoritarianism. 🥱

Unfortunately, these “No Kings” folks aren’t serious. They just want their guy as king. Prove me wrong. Insist on reducing the power of the President and of the federal government overall. Make it your top priority. I’ll happily eat crow.
Elizabeth Warren@ewarren

Donald Trump acts like a king. He thinks he can steal our democracy. But the people marching today and voting in November will prove that Trump is no king. We have the power. We’re in this fight—and we will win.

One of the biggest problems with the left is that they complain about the constitutional violations of Trump, but never look in the mirror to see the precedent that the left has handed him. And when it comes to unilateral executive war powers, you gotta look at Bill Clinton and Barack Obama as creating the scenario that Trump is expanding on today. Truman too until they start taking responsibility for how they helped create this monster, things will only keep getting worse

@TenthAmendment @MarioNawfal @AZ_Intel_ Retard trump has been striking Iran with no approval now war no approval ? When did Obama wage a war that has the world at its heels without approval from congress?

Seeing literally everything through a left-right culture war filter must be an exhausting way to live. It is pathetic. Some of you cannot enjoy anything without shoving the whole thing through some stale ideological sorting machine and announcing what tribe it belongs to. The world is bigger than your compulsive little binary, and other people are not obligated to perform inside it for you. Not everything is a signal. Not everyone is like you. Get a life and learn how to enjoy something for what it is before politics finishes hollowing out whatever is left of your personality.

If my fellow countrymen had half the courage and yearning for freedom that many young Iranian women have shown, our society could still be saved. We have lost perspective on how bad it can get, and how quickly.

The problem is that all of us can see that the system has evolved to reward the grifters and to stymie the people who actually want to fix things. So it's not really "I'm to busy to do contribute," it's "My time is too valuable to waste on Quixotic quests."
Nick Freitas@NickJFreitas

“All Republicans suck, none of them are honest or true to their principles.” Ok then you run. “I’m too busy.” Well I guess we will have to settle for the corrupt since all the “virtuous conservatives” are “too busy” to run themselves.

Any culture or sub-culture that justifies rape is evil. Rich powerful Western men who build networks of victims. Convicts in prisons and the system that does nothing about it. Men who use race, ethnicity, or religion to justify their depravity. All of it.

Why a violent criminal became violent is a secondary issue. Earthly justice isn't about morality - it is about practicality. Violent criminals need to be strongly deterred, and if that doesn't work they need to be segregated from innocent people.
