I agree. But shaming the authorities achieves very little. Versova beach is clean but the conditions for its continued cleanliness have not been established. Garbage from the nallas flows unabated. Cleaning the beach is now a sysiphean ordeal.
Saying organizing mass bunk is impossible is also different from saying it will be ineffective.

Political hot take of today - the middle class or taxpayer class has too much to lose by stepping out in revolutionary style.
Middle class activism should be pointed financially. For example we saw many people come out one Sunday to clean gurugram. This is symbolic but another empty threat.
The real threat is when we see mass office bunks on a weekday to go clean the streets. This is more than symbolic. For offices to run at half strength or worse would grab the necessary attention.
Without this collective action directed at places that cause pain, nothing in the system will change.
The problem again becomes one of organisation. How does one organise such a mass bunk?
A question to ponder.

On my way home after my day 01 of internship in patna, I saw the road in my colony. This is its condition.
Thanks to @cityofpatna for such ‘great’ roads.
Several scooter accidents have already happened here. You can see why.

Day 01 of travelling in patna for my internship – started with whatever phone I have ended up with a Rapido detour to a “premium waterfront” near Nehru Nagar. Turns out it’s a nala right next to Boring Road. Urban planning so advanced that even buffaloes have secured their spot here. Great first impression.

@_svs_ And exiting from the system brings apathy, you are middle class, you can probably sort some of these out for yourself by buying your way out of it, because it's easier to do so and this is not me saying it. This is the consensus amongst people who know these things.

Also, doing personal contribution to keeping cities/spaces clean is fine, but it's not sustainable until we start holding the authorities responsible. Otherwise it's an exit from the system. 2/n
