We're going to see a decade from now the huge toll #COVID19 had on people. Millions of people are never going to be the same again.

This is the shot you can’t get from the press site. This camera was sitting a few football fields from the SLS rocket at Pad 39B for days before launch, baking in the Florida sun, surviving rain, humidity, and whatever else the Cape threw at it. No photographer behind the viewfinder. Just a camera, a sound trigger, and a bet. The way pad remotes work: you set your camera up days in advance, dial in your composition, lock everything down, and walk away. You don’t touch it again until after the launch. The shutter fires on sound activation with a @MiopsTrigger smart+ trigger. With SLS, the four RS-25 engines ignite six seconds before the solid rocket boosters, so the camera is already firing before the vehicle even leaves the pad. You get home, pull the card, and find out if you nailed it or if a bird landed on your lens two days ago and left your a present and you got 400 photos of soemthing crappy. There’s no formula for protecting your gear this close. Some photographers build wooden boxes with doors that pop open. Some use plastic bags and tape. Some do plastic or metal barn door rigs on hinges. I tend to leave mine open just in plastic rain covers because boxes limit my composition and setup time, but that means your cameras are more exposed to the elements and whatever energy and debris comes off the pad. You’re basically gambling a camera body every time you set one. That’s what I love about this genre. There’s no playbook. You make it up as you go. If you are using the earth as a reference frame, the moon is actually doing a close flyby of Artemis II.

SLS launches the Artemis II crew for the beginning of their journey around the Moon. With 8.8 million pounds of thrust, no humans have ever launched on top of a more powerful vehicle.

I back Brohm 100%. He is here because he loves this city and played here and this is his home. Josh is here because this was the next step in his career path. Not that Josh is a bad person at all, I just feel like that should be stated when talking about this.

I wanted to take a night of research on the Coach Andrzejek hire. The more you dig into it, the more this feels like exactly what Pat Kelsey needed on his staff. At Florida, Andrzejek wasn’t just another assistant. He stepped into the defensive coordinator role and helped take them from outside the top 90 in defensive efficiency to top 10 in the country on the way to a national championship. That’s real, measurable impact. He comes from a system built on preparation, scouting detail, and accountability. The kind of coach who builds defensive habits, not just schemes. Players and coaches consistently point to his attention to detail and player development. And that’s what makes this fit so important. Kelsey’s teams are built to pressure you offensively. Pace, spacing, constant stress. But to win at a high level, you have to be able to get stops and make adjustments. Andrzejek brings that side of it. Defensive structure, game planning, and the ability to elevate players on that end without slowing down what you do offensively. This isn’t overlap. It’s balance. Kelsey sets the offensive identity.
