@Andy_Webb1021 @mara_yamauchi My 11 year old niece is an impressive runner. She has a sub 20 parkrun time. We attended an out and back course last month and we realised at the turn she was first female. She was over the moon at the finish but there was a TW ahead of her. She also cared.

At least 10 males ran in the Female category in UK parkrun today.
One got 1st Female. His total haul of 1st Female finishes is approaching 100. The highest number of 1st Female finishes held by a male that Iโm aware of is 121, so this young man could make history soon if heโฆ

No I can't ignore it. I can no longer attend my gym because they allow men into the changing room that has a sign saying women on the door. I won't take the risk and I can't afford the cost of going to court. There are many, many women affected by this on a daily basis but the real victims are the women who no longer have access to rape crisis, women's refuges or end up banged up in jail with some of the worst men alive.

@Matthew07677173 Parkrun has measured courses, categories, start & finish lines, timing equipment, results in descending order of speed, rules, a starter who sets everyone off at the same time etc. In other words, a competition. You may not care who is in which category, but others care. Moreโฆ

Why shouldn't women be able to celebrate cracking results that they're proud of.
People enjoy the stats and finishing positions. It's a simple expectation that female results are female only as in the majority of sports.

If categories are there, they should mean exactly what they say they are.
