@WestNorfolkBC Can still go in food waste bin though 😁

🍽 Will you be doing your Christmas food shop early this year? Be mindful of use-by dates and consider going to the shop for last minute fresh bits just before you're hosting your family.
When in doubt, throw it out.

So glad that stress it over! Spare a thought for the parents of A-Level students getting results, we’re stressed too! Really pleased & proud that eldest has been accepted for his first choice of uni and will be off to @QUBelfast. 😍

@sandrajsquire Hi Sandra,
It would the the option in relation to account queries, if this advises “we don’t need to speak to you”. Then I would not select any option as this will eventually transfer you through to an advisor.
Stephen.
English

@SF_England is it totally necessary to make it so difficult to actually speak to someone? Every option on your phone line says “we do not need to speak to you” but clearly you do as I’m trying to sort out your mistake on my son’s loan account.
English

@SF_England Any idea of what option to use on the phone line as most end up back to “we don’t need to speak to you”. Most complicated phone system ever!
English

@SF_England Thanks Stephen. By my reckoning, parent contribution should be £5403 (the highest?) but that depends on what tax year taken into account as I started a new job at the end of 2022. Either way, income is going to be over the income for him to receive a full loan.
English

@SF_England Thanks Stephen. He’d approved for a full maintenance loan but he’s not entitled to a full loan due to parents income. We can’t login to our accounts as it says they’re not recognised, but we can’t create new ones as system says we already have one! Been going round in circles!
English

@sandrajsquire the live chat service from the online account, they select 'undergraduate' and then ‘contact us’. From here they will be able to use our live chat service when it is available. Our opening hours are stated on our ‘contact us’ page and an advisor can assist you. Stephen. 2/2

Nice evening at Heacham for a swim & potter about. Moody skies but really warm water. Huge thanks to @OSennitt for coming down to join us for a swim while chatting water quality, the effects poor ratings can have on communities & tourism and the benefits of open water swimming.

English

What a day. Huge thanks to the @WestNorfolkBC team for organising briefings and pulling everything together. Lots of work ahead, the investment in the prom will secure the future of our sea defence for Hunstanton. Even the seagulls approve!

One of the best debates I’ve ever seen in the chamber tonight. Such an important vote for the history and future of Kings Lynn. So much passion from all councillors. Proud to have taken part, I look forward to the journey ahead. Exciting times.

Got a business with more than 10 full time staff? Get in touch & let us sort out your food waste recycling. ⬇️

18 schools and @RSPBTitchwell became the first businesses to receive their new commercial food waste bins. Businesses with 10 or more full time staff or a larger number of part time employees must by law, have a food waste collection. Get in touch: Trade.Waste@west-norfolk.gov.uk

@lunamaud3 @jamesowild Glad you got home eventually, it sounds like it’s been carnage. They ended up going Peterborough, then changing to Ely and then changing again to Kings Lynn. Kids were great though apparently, it’s all an adventure.
English

@sandrajsquire @jamesowild It was a nightmare! I ended up coming home eventually via Cambridge as the London to Norwich line was closed, plus signal failures on the Cambridge line!
English

Youngest finally home after their day in London. Despite cancelled trains & being 2 hours late, says he’s had a great day with the best bits being visiting the Lego Store, seeing Ed Miliband in a debate & meeting @jamesowild. High praise indeed from Junior Grumpy Teenage Squire.

@BylinesEast You also didn’t mention that we held a Water Summit last month to discuss water quality issues, bringing various agencies together to discuss how everyone can help. Or is that not such a headline?
English

@BylinesEast Why let the facts get in the way of a good story eh? At no point has anyone said it is unsafe to swim there. It won’t be the water quality affecting our tourism industry - it will be the press.
English

@BylinesEast You forget to mention water quality is a national issue, but each case suffers from different issues. You also forgot to mention that if you took the last 2 years of results rather than the 4 year average, then Heacham beach would be classified as good.
