(Sniff.) @sbw drove me to San Leandro on Monday. He left in another VW, and he never came back! What's up with that? I'm lonely!

@sbw came back, dropped off that other VW, and took me to visit yet another VW. We're home now, but is there something I should know?

I've got brakes again! Fred's Garage rebuilt my vacuum pump. Seems like it goes out every couple years. Can I help it if my rings are worn?

Oh, noes! My water pump, only 9 months/3K miles old, is leaking, & now I live 2 hours from Fred's garage. Bug & Buggy in Napa will fix it.

OK, my water pump isn't leaking a lot. Just drips. So Jon decided to just watch my coolant level carefully for awhile. I can live with that.

I got us to Vallejo & back last night, then St. Helena this morning, then my battery died. Thanks, nice (if annoyed) tourist, for the jump!

I haz spare tire at last. What a concept! Joe D'Adamo Tire in Napa repaired my spare rim & mounted old tire. Got new jack & battery, too!

Oh, cool, I just got @sbwsty's hand-me-down window cranks. The cheap kind, but both of mine lost their knobs, so this is a big improvement!

One of my hand-me-down window cranks broke after one day. Why do they even make these crappy plastic cranks?! The good ones are too spendy.

Jon got a used Prius, so he doesn't need me now. (I beat the Prius's mpg, but my roof leaks!) I just moved to the Oakland hangar with @31L.
