🚨 CRITICAL: Active supply chain attack on axios -- one of npm's most depended-on packages. The latest axios@1.14.1 now pulls in plain-crypto-js@4.2.1, a package that did not exist before today. This is a live compromise. This is textbook supply chain installer malware. axios has 100M+ weekly downloads. Every npm install pulling the latest version is potentially compromised right now. Socket AI analysis confirms this is malware. plain-crypto-js is an obfuscated dropper/loader that: • Deobfuscates embedded payloads and operational strings at runtime • Dynamically loads fs, os, and execSync to evade static analysis • Executes decoded shell commands • Stages and copies payload files into OS temp and Windows ProgramData directories • Deletes and renames artifacts post-execution to destroy forensic evidence If you use axios, pin your version immediately and audit your lockfiles. Do not upgrade.

@LeaVerou @csswg C and D make no sense. A imposes an implicit !important effect to the mixin’s call time. Adding !important to font-size of div would be the explicit and natural way to achieve the same. B remains the only option that coheres with how CSS works elsewhere. Let it cascade.

🚨 Want mixins in CSS? Help the @csswg by telling us what feels natural to you! Look at the code in the screenshot. What resulting widths would you find least surprising? A: All get 100px B: div gets 100px, div > h2 gets 200px, div + p gets 300px C: div gets 100px, div > h2 gets 200px, div + p gets no width D: div and div > h2 get 100px, div + p gets no width Poll in next tweet! Please answer based on what feels natural to you, not what the current proposal says.

@msurguy I’m curious if there’s a CC equivalent for generating those UX decision docs / lists. I’ve only used the @AmpCode’s free mode for basic coding tasks / unit tests. So I’m wondering if amp, CC (paid versions) or sth else can be used for design thinking / decision-making. Ideas?

This is an interest debate. Figma is a source of truth for #design decisions. I think of it as a “CMS for UI/UX decisions”. If those decisions can be kept somewhere else (lists, database, shared docs) - you might not need Figma. Also, design is not just visuals (UI components), it is much more. If by “design” people mean building UI components - when you’re using existing UI framework you might not need to reinvent the wheel since design decisions have already been decided by someone else and you just put the “blocks of decisions” together. Design with AI will need source of truth to be easily readable and writable by AI, shareable with humans, easily iterated upon (reviewable, testable)…

it's literally easier to design using claude code + react than figma

Hey everyone, it's time we create our own graphic design museum with some rad banners @CodePen! Check this out: codepen.io/pavlovsk/pen/g… For starters, just make a banner about anything you want, using any web tech. Later, we'll have specific themes to work on, so, stay tuned🤘

@webaim I think you should actually go against this recommendation and let the text go under its container. And then create a marquee animation that brings the text into view. Unless you are making a government website.

Be cautious when setting a fixed height for text elements! User-customized text size or spacing can break your design. Consider using relative height units instead. Follow @webaim for more accessibility tips #WebAIM25 #a11yTips

@CodePen The entire animation is done with CSS trigonometry interpolations and only a few keyframes. JS is only seeding the CSS with stuff like `--random` and `--progress`. So many possibilities with this setup.
