@realjera @Akintola_steve See. I for dey shout Yakubu manage. lol. But the data is elsewhere. Even the backup too is elsewhere. So it’s just a matter of redeploying the code on DO.

@softhardguy @Akintola_steve Well they may not have the same capacity and credibility like Azure or AWS, and with the experience you mentioned of them logging you out without, damnnnnn unprofessional. Did you findout why later?

Can’t they just integrate this into their already package printing process. So instead of printing a single barcode on every pack, the printer appends something to the barcode that uniquely identifies each batch. Retailers can configure their POS system to ignore these extra characters. Ultimately. I think it’s a “where there’s will, there’s a way” issue.

@softhardguy @hackSultan @Netlify @NafdacAgency Actually, it's production costs for companies. Having a unique code on each packaging will cost a hell more than what they currently go for. From my research, it's the major reason why companies haven't adopted this. It's not scalable in any form

It’s doable but the process you’re thinking about can’t scale. Let me explain how to do this with @Netlify easily. [ Everyone should read and bookmark this, it’ll teach you how to think about building your ideas. ] First you need to understand that a bar code cannot do this because it’s not scalable, your phone can’t scan a bar code and we can’t expect users to buy car code scanners ( that still won’t work tho), what you need is a qr code. Next, a QR code cannot also not do this directly, without a platform to store the details and each drug needs to be uniquely identified. So 1 million pieces of paracetamol needs 1Million War code iterations stored in the database. Only then can you create a platform where users can scan the QR code of each drug on your platform or app and then the rest is just YES or No to decide if you’d alert the authorities. Yesterday. @Netlify launched netlify.new and it comes with a some free credits. Setup a free account, and tell the Netlify AI to build you a platform that can do this. You might also want to switch to unique codes like what we have with recharge cards as that’s much more easier too. Rooting for you.

Tech Bros and App developers. An idea came to mind this morning. Is it doable? I sketched in my Diary. Can we have an App or software whereby, every drug has a bar code. Once you buy a drug or medical item, you scan it and you're instantly notified if it is original or fake. If it is fake, An alert is immediately sent to NAFDAC which means the app's algorithm will be integrated into NAFDAC's database Every Authentic manufacturer too will have these bar codes. For every Flag to NAFDAC, The alert will also trace the location of production and entire distribution chain of the fake manufacturers. Is it a doable? Thinking out loud. I'm open to more discussions. You can send a DM

@realjera @Akintola_steve Sorry. I don’t get what you mean by relying on third party services. Render is basically doing the same thing a DO or AWS does. They’ve just added a layer of abstraction to make easier. Either of DO or Amazon could decide to lock you out too.

@Akintola_steve @softhardguy Tor... I for say 😂.... Cuz you can't just be relying on 3rd party services if you have capacity to build it yourself

@Akintola_steve Truth is for small apps. It works really really well. The only reason I won’t recommend them for SMEs is that stupid behavior. Even if you’re going to block a user, at least give them time to migrate their data out. It’s the very least you can do.

In case you guys are not aware, these drugs are for cancer treatment. Avastin costs up to N1 million a vial. Tecentriq costs up to N9 million a vial. These counterfeit and fake drug producers that some of you guys extend strange empathy for have now graduated to counterfeiting cancer drugs!!! You call it hustle or blame lack of employment, but let’s be frank, this is not hustling or survival; this is calculated wickedness. Imagine fighting for your life against cancer, only to die, not because of lack of money or treatment being unavailable, but because some greedy bastards thought counterfeiting cancer drugs is hustling and a quicker way to get rich. So they sold the take to you. Fake baby food, fake malaria drug, fake drinks, fake electronics, now fake cancer drug. This is systemic extermination of our people, and anyone caught producing these fakes should get the capital punishment henceforth. Jail sentences or fine options are too lenient for them.
NAFDAC NIGERIA@NafdacAgency

Public Alert No. 015/2026. Alert on confirmed counterfeit of Avastin 400mg/16ml and Tecentriq 1200mg/20ml in Nigeria #NAFDACAlerts bit.ly/4berdtK

Bro. We were going to do it for free. All they needed to do was pay for the infra. In fact we already built the system. Deployed it. Just get all manufacturers to login to the portal and download the codes. There was nobody Deji didn’t call. He was practically sleeping in NAFDAC office day in day out. That was the last time I try to do anything for the government.

@the_beardedsina Myself and Deji Olarinre pitches this thing to NAFDAC as far back as 2013/2014. If it was doable then, imagine what’s doable now.

Found out another one today. If you want to register for AdMob, on the first screen they show a bunch of options, one of them is country. If you made a mistake and chose the wrong country, that’s the end of you can’t change country again. What’s worse is they will ask you to enter your phone number on the next screen, which must match the country you selected in the first screen. There’s no way to go back and chose the right country. You’re basically blocked. This is another level of stupidity I’ve never seen before. That PayPal guy will be proud.

One thing about me. After the second get in the car and she refused…na house she go come meet me. The problem is, people often times don’t respond to “admonition”, they respond to consequences. If she knew that this man is capable of leaving her there, she won’t wait for him to say it a second time.
