Not to mention, FIFA is extraordinarily corrupt, even for a sports organization. Ironically, only the USA had the nerve to criminally investigate them. All sports is mostly rapscallions, but FIFA is nastier than most.

What's with SF hipsters acting like Premier League soccer teams are somehow obscure or undiscovered? Ye gods, they're the most valuable sports franchises in the world, with $200,000,000+ annual salaries and empires of merchandising.

Imagine a programming language were data and code use the same language. Every program is data. All data is code. And switching between those interpretations is easy.

@felis_rex Basically yeah. Essentially, go is "leaking" the implementation detail that interfaces are fat pointers. And now this is a load-bearing design, so it can't be changed without a new language edition. Bah.

While there isn't a specific "breaking change" in the style of true SemVer, it's just so hard to keep track of the minor versions.

Unpopular opinion: Kubernetes should just declare a v2, in the style of Linux. Enough stuff has changed that 1.0.0 and 1.25 are wildly different beasts. APIs have come and gone, storage and cloud providers have been pulled out of tree, the CRI, etc. etc.

@LiliCosic This is honestly my only complaint, they ship instantly with DHL and I’ve never had any issues. Probably helps that these are supplies and not medicine.

@squeed I hate this, I have medication I have been on for years, and I have to go in person every 3 months to get a supply of 3 months' doses. What do they think we will overdose. 😭 Do you get your prescription sent to you, or go pick up as well?

Every couple of months, I have to call to order more of the same diabetes consumables. Every time, they ask me "how many?" It's like, she's 3 years old and diabetes is incurable. So, infinity? "How about 4 boxes?" is their usual reply.

@RiRa12621 For example, in the USA, private schools cannot consider disability in their admissions process. Here, that is not the case at all.

Americans: treasure the ADA. It is, genuinely, revolutionary. As I look in to where my diabetic 3yo can go to school here in Germany, the picture is not pretty.
