@SouthernRailUK evening, how do I get back to EGR as the last train from Vic is cancelled? Can I go to TBD and a get a taxi from there?

@SouthernRailUK Unfortunately because of timings, i had a back up taxi booked just in case, so i have left Three Bridges. I do though have a taxi invoice for £23.90 if Southern are will to refund me.

@SouthernRailUK I didn’t. I have ended up getting the 2335 to TBD and then will have to get a taxi… unless southern get me one.

@stewstealey Hi there Stew, you will need to get a train to East Croydon (23:25 service) and there will be a replacement bus from East Croydon at 23:50 to get you to East Grinstead 🙂 ^TT

@stewstealey Hi there, no this is a temporary change due to engineering works. The service will go back to running at 23:22 from the 6th March onwards 😊 ^Van

@SouthernRailUK Evening, can i ask why the slightly later 2332 (from 2322) VIC to EGR train? Is that now a permanent change?

@SouthernRailUK Evening / Morning…. Can I ask why the 2350 VIC to OXT service doesn’t run all the way to EGR creating a slightly later last train?

@SouthernRailUK Passengers need to know that. Southern have said nothing about the about failure of this evening. I’m sorry to say an absolutely absurd failure. This is not on you at all, your the front line. Im sorry, it’s your bosse that have been a faliure tonight.

@stewstealey The train units used to form the VIC-EGR's were also being used to run the VIC-Gatwicks - where not avoidable. Also with the mass displacement of crew and train units because of other incidents, this leads to cancellations ^Kieran

@SouthernRailUK Hello… what is exactly happening on your network? The EGR line is down. I’m stuck on a train at station in Dorking that just hasn’t moved for coming up 30mins. And there has been absolutely no communication from Southern. It’s absolutely shocking.

@SouthernRailUK But that doesn’t explain the cancelled trains from VIC to EGR?!? A totally different line.

@SouthernRailUK A landslip where?! Southern haven’t given any info out. Just delayed then cancelled on the boards at VIC. Comms from Southern have been horrifically awful this evening.

@SouthernRailUK Im on the delayed 2340 from vic via Horsham to LGW. I’m on the move now to Three Bridges, my final destination is EGR. Why are those trains VIC to EGR (0009) cancelled?

Hi Stew, There is only one line open between Dorking and Horsham in both directions. To run on this track, there must be a Network Rail specialist in the cab with the driver. Because of displacement, these crew members are delayed. Your train will be moving as soon as possible rest assured. I can understand the frustration and I am sorry to hear of your experience today. Tell me, where is your final destination today please? ^Kieran

@stewstealey Hi Stew, delays are affecting our network as a result of a landslide and a passenger incident in Horsham most recently. Please can you advise where you are travelling to? ^Kieran

@SouthernRailUK Evening, can I ask what the significant delay is from VIC. On one of the busiest weekends for EGR the lack of information has been shocking. Even though not currently displayed the last Expt was 00.48. Please let your customers know what is going on!

Hello @sewateruk is it possible that we culd get an update as to what’s happening in East Grinstead. Currently ur updates r just a simple date & time change with the info staying the same. Can I suggest that David Hinton stops being AWOL and shows some respect for his customers.

Hello @SouthernRailUK i know it’s very busy for you this evening. I was on the delayed the cancelled 2320 train to EGR but now on the 0128 train to TBD. Will Southern pay for a taxi home or a reimbursement?
