🧵You think Canada can build a 1,000 km / $90 billion high-speed rail project in one of our most densely populated regions? Want to see just how complicated it is to build anything in this country, and what monumental government failure looks like? The Lac Mégantic tragedy was the deadliest railway accident in Canadian history.  This terrible tragedy occurred almost 13 years ago, and cost the lives of 47 people. The recommendation that came out of the investigation was to build a 12.5 km rail bypass that to relocate the railway track away from downtown Lac-Mégantic. Sounds reasonable and easy enough. Wrong! Only 12.5 km of new rail, but construction still hasn't started. 1/

🔴Francios Phillip Champaigne recuses himself from Alto high speed rail project: Wife, Anne-Marie Gaudet, is VP of Environment at Alto. The Finance Minister was overseeing billions for the very company his partner helps lead. Champagne forced into a total recusal from the Alto project after the story blew up. This happens right as he returns from chasing investment in China.

J'ai pas créé cette page parce que je déteste les Libéraux. Je l'ai créée parce que j'ai réalisé qu'on nous avait montés les uns contre les autres — Libéraux contre Conservateurs, anglophones contre francophones, l'Est contre l'Ouest, baby-boomers contre milléniaux — pendant que les mêmes personnes déplaçaient l'argent, écrivaient les règles, et en profitaient. Chaque fil sur cette page renvoie à une source que vous pouvez vérifier vous-même. Chaque affirmation est documentée. Pas d'opinions déguisées en faits. Pas de rage bait.
