Things that sabotage great developers: 1. Ego 2. Self-doubt 3. Bad habits 4. Procrastination 5. Lack of clear goals 6. Weak fundamentals 7. Fear of missing out (FOMO) Get rid of them, and your career will skyrocket.

Far too many developer dreams were crushed in the LeetCode rabbit hole. But until FAANG companies find a better way to interview people, the madness will continue.

Game developers getting laid off should really consider launching their own games. I am sick of big studios milking the same cow with decades-old series. We need some new sagas, new storylines, new ideas.

If everything you see is problems, you might just be burned out. Often, we forget that no matter how much you love your job, you still need to take a break. Good stuff can burn you out too.

I believe the biggest motivator of great software developers is not money but freedom. Freedom to work, build, and live the way you want. With all the difficulties this job has, the freedom it gives you makes it all worth it.
