So many people claim it ruins the ending of Aliens, but I think thematically it makes sense for the series as a whole. Plus, you get some great performances, fantastic cinematography from Fincher, and a beautiful score by Elliot Goldenthal.

@JonathanKoan Star Trek: The Motion Picture is one of my favorite Star Trek movies for the reason in the previous thread. Such a great score, atmosphere, and strong themes about discovery and what it means to be human. True classic sci-fi at its best.
