That being said, I've made a lot of progress in accepting my accent, and I'm happy to see this kind of encouragement going out to others who are self conscious about the way they speak!

This is something that I used to struggle with a lot, and honestly, sometimes still do. As someone with a southern accent, I feel like I may get taken less seriously when people hear me speak on stream.

Don't ever let anyone make you feel bad for having an accent. You should be proud, and celebrate your accent, because accents are cool and awesome.
