@ObbeVermeij Why does the PS2 port of GTA San Andreas look so much better than it's Xbox and PC counterparts? Was it because the PS2 had hardware capable of doing things that the common hardware used in Xbox and PCs at the time couldn't?

There are 4 weather types in gta3. Sunny, Cloudy (overcast), Rainy & Foggy. Each in-game hour, a new weather type is picked. The transition between weather types takes 1 hour. Initially, I used a random chance for each transition between weather types. Ie 40% for Sunny->Sunny, 20% for Sunny->Cloudy etc. This was unpredictable and led to a stream of bug reports from testers experiencing days of unchanging weather. I switched to a fixed table of 64 (I think) weather types for the game to cycle through. In other words; if it rains now, it will rain again 64 in-game hours later. Level designers had script commands to override the weather for specific missions. Certain races may not be doable during rain as rain effects the grip of cars. Later games had additional weather types. Ie Vice City had ‘Clear Sky’, Sunny without the clouds. (screenshots by gtaguide.net)

Faye has Stage 3C Skin Cancer She's been having various operations to remove it for a few months, was being hopeful that it was gone after they hadn't found anything, but with the final surgery they found cancer in her lymph nodes, which means it's spreading :/
