Great day with Amy speaking at the Polk & Dallas County GOP Conventions on behalf of our campaign. Wrapped up the evening judging a chili contest for our local Boy Scout troop. Busy day in the community — and the momentum keeps building! 🇺🇸

It’s official — we’re on the ballot! Yesterday, I joined Congressman Zach Nunn to file our candidacy paperwork with the Iowa Secretary of State. This morning, my candidacy was officially certified to appear on the ballot for the Republican nomination for Iowa Senate.

I applaud the United States and our troops for carrying out a mission sending a clear message: the U.S. will defend its citizens and hold terrorists accountable wherever they hide. Maduro was a narco-terrorist, who took over Venezuela as an illegitimate dictator — his gangs are responsible for the deaths of thousands of Americans — he will now face justice. Moving forward, we must ensure this mission remains focused, time-bound, and squarely aligned with U.S. national interests.

@hoosierdoggie @elonmusk @Rainmaker1973 I’m not upset with folks who want to advocate for their preferred diets. Carnivore is great, but for people who are extremely obese, they need to be encouraged to seek professional help and if that leads to WLS, encourage them. They really do need it. It’s very hard and lonely.

@hoosierdoggie @elonmusk @Rainmaker1973 This is me today. But to keep it, I run about 10 miles a week, I swim about 2 miles a week and weight training 2 days a week. But to get to a point where that was physically possible, I had to drop 150lbs. For me, diet alone didn’t work.

@hoosierdoggie @elonmusk @Rainmaker1973 So be careful of transformation posts online, as they may not always be the whole truth. I’m 100% honest about the fact that I had WLS. I don’t care who knows it. It honestly saved my life. This was me at the 2016 Convention.

@hoosierdoggie @elonmusk @Rainmaker1973 I’m not saying that a Paleo diet doesn’t work. For a normal overweight person, losing 40 or 50lbs is huge, but when you’re talking someone with extreme obesity, it isn’t enough to get you where you need to be to couple it with activity. It’s an extreme situation.

Your body adjusts and the weight starts to come back because you’re still so large that you can’t couple it with enough physical activity to keep the weight-loss going. Or even maintain, you gain again and your back at square 1, but now with depression.
