Most artists donโt fail because they lack talent.
They fail because they rely on talent alone. And the economy is not smiling.
Let me be honestโฆ
Iโve watched incredibly gifted artists struggle financially and disappear.
So I made a different move.
I didnโt rely on art alone.
I built income through design and corporate work to fund my creativity and then later diversify.
There was a time I went 7 years without selling a single artwork.
But I didnโt quit.
Hereโs what I learned:
๐ Diversify your income
๐ Sell prints
๐ Teach your process
๐ Run classes (online & offline)
๐ Supply frames for fellow artists.
and photographers
๐ Learn to cut mount boards, etc
Artists are not just creators.
We are problem solvers.
And please ๐๐ฟ
stop seeking validation from the internet. It will lead to frustration ๐ซค.
Likes donโt build a career. Strategy does.
I will continue to support artists and the art community.
I still hold over tens of million worth of artworks I boughtโ
just to support fellow artists and keep them afloat.
Whatโs the biggest challenge youโre facing as an artist right now? ๐
Let's discuss.
