An investigation into a 36,000-mile Tesla Cybertruck totaled after a 40 MPH mechanical snap in NY. Owner Marlon Pando faces a $10K debt due to high EV depreciation and zero gap insurance. An essential safety and finance report for all owners. Look torquenews.com/1084/18-month-… “Anyone aware of who I should talk to about this? Other than a lawyer... My Cybertruck is dead! After just getting on a Staten Island highway at about 40 miles an hour, the truck started sliding in a circle, hit the middle rail, and turned around and stopped while I was facing oncoming traffic. No one got hurt, but my truck is totaled, and I will owe about 10K. I don't have Gap Insurance. My first accident ever after driving for close to 40 years. As you will see on the video, something cracked, busted the tire, and actually cracked the rim. I loved this truck. This is my 2nd Tesla, and I would even consider another, but could this be a factory recall or a new issue others are dealing with? Had the truck for 18 months and used it to deliver organic Pillows and Mattresses all over the USA. It has 36,000 miles. Pretty sad …”

A 2025 Tacoma owner drove an hour for a safety fix only to find the dealer lacked the parts to finish. It's a masterclass in how a botched service appointment can ruin the honeymoon phase of a $50,000 purchase. Is your Toyota dealer ready for 2026? torquenews.com/1084/2025-toyo… Don says, “Brake recall done. Good sales experience, but disappointed with the service department. Called to schedule my 10,000-mile service. Was told that they had to order parts for the rear brake line recall for my Tacoma. An appointment was set for 8:15 the following Tuesday. I arrived about 10 minutes early, and they took me right in. Then I waited for nearly 2 1/2 hours. I expected that when they texted me, it would be ready. I got to the counter and was told it was done, except I would have to come back because they only had the parts to do one side of the brakes. So I drive an hour, wait 2 1/2 hours, only to learn that the job was only half done and I would have to do it all again? Why was I not called and told that the parts didn’t come in? So I left. Got a little way down the road when they called and said they actually had the parts, and if I could come back, they would finish it. I did that and am sitting here waiting once again. I’ve always believed that the salesperson sells you the car, but the service department makes you a returning customer. This dealership has a lot to learn.”

A brand-new 2026 F-150 needs a total transmission swap after just 24 hours. Is Ford's 10-speed 10R80 still the 'weak link'? Here is what owners need to know. torquenews.com/1084/why-2026-… Kileigh says, “I’ve had this baby, a 2026 Ford F-150 2.7L, not even a full 24 hours, and just my luck! It only has 106 miles on it. I’m blown away by how something like this can happen on a brand-new truck. Man, talk about bad luck! The Ford dealer says it needs a new transmission. At least it’s getting a new trans now rather than later, I guess. But when I get her back, I’ll be starting with her mods.”

A 2025 Toyota Prius owner has to jump his new hybrid with his 2009 Honda Civic, and he’s not happy. It seems his old Civic does just fine in the Ohio winter, and his Prius fails. Here is what Prius owners need to know. torquenews.com/1084/2025-toyo… Robert says, “The 12v battery in my 2025 Toyota Prius XLE Hybrid (4k miles, driven daily) died here in the Ohio winter. Had trouble starting in the mornings, then wouldn't start at all. Had to jump it with my 2009 Civic to get to the dealer for warranty maintenance. I have been disappointed with this car for winter driving. Any amount of winter precipitation and it loses the ability to do cruise control. Now the battery issues. Wouldn't recommend for winter climates.”
