@paininc @bowcyclesports Yeah it was so good. Jenny did the triathlon camp this summer so she got lots of training on riding right with people and passing etc. I'm going to get her a 24-in racing bike... Suzie got big so fast we kind of skipped that stage she's going to move to a women's Xs next.

Technical advisors ..any ideas whats causing the chain to slip like this Last time on the #TallBike it was chain engagement, It only does it in this gear doesn't seem to do it in the highest gear Chain is in good condition no wear in it at all sub 500 miles It was throwing the chain ( always towards the crank if that makes a difference ) I've added a chain retainer as a temporary measure The sprocket has approx 500 miles on it same as chain Alignment of both wheel and rear derailleur is good This is the long john cargo bike it has a mid drive tong sheng powering it I could maybe change the camera angle so it films from the the rear

@BelfastCyclist1 Yeah that would be my pick. The cassette gears can be replaced individually. They are also releasing hydraulic drop bar levers that will work with the 9, 10 or 11 speed cues.

@BelfastCyclist1 They are a little hard to find but Shimano does make a Deore 9-speed with clutch. The cues 9-speed has a clutch but it requires the new cues shifter as well.

@BelfastCyclist1 Yeah those little teeth can damage instantly. The clutch style derailleur on your other bike might be the difference.

@yycbikeguy I run a sensah gravel 1x11 groupset on my Omnium style cargo, same motor with nearly a 1000 miles on it and zero issues. I don't understand how the 13t sprocket got damaged so quickly, that bike has 339 miles on it since I installed the motor and everything was new at install.

@BelfastCyclist1 Yeah your builds look pretty incredible. I think you will find it simply too much torque. Bigger chainring and just avoiding those gears worked for me. I would like to try the new Shimano cues group set. Cassettes are supposed to be tougher.

@BelfastCyclist1 Some kits align better than others. If the 13 tooth sprocket could hypothetically be in the center of the cassette it would probablly work much better.

@BelfastCyclist1 This was an Amazon cheapy. They are good for several thousand kilometers and then they get real sharp and pointy. This was on a Yuba mundo with a 7-speed cassette, I got many miles out of it.

I did a lap of the town with no issues, then coming home (I live at the top of a very steep hill) I deliberately put it onto the 13 tooth gear with max assistance and tried to power up the hill (I wouldn't normally go up this hill in that gear usually I'd be in the middle of the cassette) The chain slipped - on this occasion was it the torque of the motor ? I had no other issues on the journey.

@BelfastCyclist1 13 teeth is not enough to hold the torque from that motor, especially of the start or under load. I've had several high power cargo bikes now. I use a bigger chainring in the front then try to spend most of my time in the middle of the cassette.

Took the cassette off, seems to be a bit of damage to two teeth. Is this the cause or was this caused by the chain slipping

@Outdoorbrit1 @BikeBikeYYC I have a trailer I would sell for cheap if you are looking for one. My girls have outgrown it. I was thinking about cleaning it up and posting it this weekend.

@Outdoorbrit1 @BikeBikeYYC #boostie is about 30lbs lighter then a rad wagon :) Mine is the performance so smaller motor and battery. They are on discount right now. I assume Benno will be switching over to the new Bosch smart system. I prefer the old dumb one... Lol. Simple & cheaper. Ha ha.

@BikeBikeYYC I love my Radwagon, but it’s too heavy for my wife. What do you recommend that can carry two young kids, has a lower centre of gravity and can be accessorized with a caboose and a rain cover?

Air Fryer is the single most life-changing gadget purchase I've ever made. I can cook really good food now, really cheaply. I can eat really well now, without wasting money on delivery or takeout. I feel like the air fryer is what the microwave wishes it was.
