The most important story in
India right now.
That most media is ignoring-
March 13, 2026.
NIA arrested 7 foreign nationals.
1 American. 6 Ukrainians.
Kolkata. Lucknow. Delhi airports.
Simultaneously.
Matthew Aaron VanDyke—46.
Baltimore. Georgetown University.
Security studies.
Founder—Sons of Liberty International.
Libya—fought with rebels.2011. Captured. Escaped.
Syria—trained rebel fighters.
Iraq—fought ISIS.
Ukraine—trained insurgents against Russia. 2022.
India—allegedly training insurgents
to attack northeast India.
The 6 Ukrainians-
Hurba Petro. Slyviak Taras.
Ivan Sukmanovskyi. Stefankiv Marian.
Honcharuk Maksim. Kaminskyi Viktor.
8 more Ukrainians—still being searched.
The charges-
UAPA.
Illegal entry into restricted Mizoram border areas.
Training ethnic armed groups.
Drone warfare. Assembly. Jamming.
European drone consignments imported via India into Myanmar.
His own words-
‘As long as my team shoots in the right direction the US government looks the other way.’
March 16—Special NIA Court Delhi.
11 days custody approved.
March 27—next hearing.
And the comparison nobody is making.
January 2025.
America deported Indian illegal immigrants.
Hands shackled. Feet chained.
Military aircraft.
India’s response—silence.
March 2026.
India arrested an American
allegedly training insurgents
on Indian soil.
This is not just a criminal case.
This must go to the UN.
This must be raised in every bilateral meeting.
This must be on every diplomatic table.
If America can deport Indians
in chains on military aircraft
for crossing a border illegally—
India can raise an alleged American mercenary training insurgents on Indian soil at the highest levels
of international diplomacy.
Sovereignty is not selective.
Neither should be India’s voice.
English

@UnSubtleDesi This doesn’t look like a CIA situation and if it were, it wouldn’t be public under an unpredictable president like Trump. Why would India agreed to comply on not buying Russian oil, but then poke Trump in the eye and expose an alleged CIA officer? It doesn’t make sense.
English

@UnSubtleDesi @AryanPaladin Absolutely. The arrest of CIA operatives in North East is a very Big story.
Actually, Indian media is compromised, not the PM.
English

@UnSubtleDesi Except Arnab, no one is covering it, I guess. It seems all media channels in India are American assets.
English

@UnSubtleDesi @grok list the Indian media coverage on this matter with name and time of reporting.
English

@UnSubtleDesi It means they were not CIA operatives and probably some private guys who crossed by mistake. Your overactive, America hating, bird brain must be very disappointed!
English

@UnSubtleDesi It only means CIA has compromised Indian media and Indian media doesn't feel shame.
English

This silence from the so-called ‘free press’ is deafening bcz it exposes their hypocrisy; they'll run 24/7 coverage when it's about Ukraine fighting Russia, but when actual Ukrainian & US citizens are caught red handed in Mizoram illegally crossing borders with drones from Europe to train anti-India insurgent groups , suddenly the news cycle goes blank .
US citizen involved literally posted online about running covert ops to overthrow governments , yet our media acts like catching C-IA linked operatives on Indian soil is just another Tuesday .
The NIA deserves credit for busting this network that was arming ethnic groups who directly support banned Indian insurgent outfits , but I guess that doesn't fit the narrative that only ‘authoritarian regimes’ do this stuff.
Wonder if the media is silent bcz they're scared to ask why Ukraine's ambassador is protesting consular access for ppl caught training kiillers in Myanmar .
English

@UnSubtleDesi @viraja_r69189 Big arrests, but bigger caution.
Calling them CIA operatives without official confirmation is speculation, not fact.
May be, media is holding back because this case has serious international implications and is still unfolding.
English

The muted coverage of the recent NIA arrests in India likely comes down to a mix of national security sensitivity, editorial caution, and lack of confirmed details. Cases involving foreign nationals, especially with alleged links to intelligence or insurgent activities, are often reported cautiously to avoid compromising ongoing investigations or diplomatic relations.
Much of the speculation online about the American suspect being a “CIA operative” hasn’t been verified by credible sources—mainstream media tends to avoid amplifying unconfirmed claims. So while this is indeed a major story, Indian outlets are likely holding back detailed reporting until courts and the NIA release confirmed information.
English

@UnSubtleDesi Maybe it's retaliation for arresting the person accused of killing sikhsin the US
English

@UnSubtleDesi Mainstream establishment media is very pro US/UK. He know if he spoke about that topic he will not be invited in major media events that's why is quiet.
Solution- end FDI in media, bring WOIC
English

@UnSubtleDesi If you genuinely want to understand, look into how many children or relatives of India’s media elites are settled in the US or other Western countries. That should give you your answer.
English

@UnSubtleDesi Did govt stopped the media from covering this news? Is it because they want to use Mathew Van Dyke as a bargain to release Nikhil Gupta ?
English

@UnSubtleDesi The government agencies should do extensive press briefings for the same. No reason to keep it hush hush
English

@UnSubtleDesi Majority of mainstream media is sold out to usa.
They will not utter a single word against their master usa and US companies.
Esp. (The Hindu ,Indian Express,Hindustan Times,Times of India,India Today Group).😑
English

@UnSubtleDesi It shouldn't have made any headline at all, what brownie points in headlines achieve? Matters about sovereignty violations be dealt with accordingly, not for publicity. Everyone trust their own govt in this regard, until India it becomes politics without any sincereness
English

@UnSubtleDesi You think Indian media has a say about any coverage? All are sold to BJP. It is obvious the black out has been ordered from the very top.
English

@UnSubtleDesi @jsaideepak Govt might have asked them to play it down. I was actually surprised that this was reported at all given the high value arrest. I concluded that the reporting was only because the arrested was to be used as a bargaining chip.
English

@UnSubtleDesi @CivitasSameer Don’t exclude the American Christian missionaries active involvement in North Eastern states in this mission of breaking India . A watch on American Christian missionaries in India is a must .
English

@UnSubtleDesi Indians are focused on Dharandhar 2, don’t disturb people with news other than lpg shortage and Iran war.
English

@UnSubtleDesi Similarly whole media muted during UGC protests .
Media houses should openly provide rate chart. So that it will be easier to buy their services.
Most Media houses are literally doing Godi(Lap) Dance .

English

Like the Italian soldiers who murdered in cold blood & India just released them, this case will go the same way. Some foreign ambassador will take guarantee in court for release, they will leave, never to return, while the immunity will protect the foreign official or S/he may get transferred out. Hope someone in India has the brains to atleast bargain for Nikhil Gupta in return
English

@UnSubtleDesi The section of media which hates Modi has become hate India. They will not show anything which will say India is on top of the game
English

@UnSubtleDesi I think it’s a cover up operation to save CIA big asset in India ,who is ruling this country ,the travel of 1993 is all around
English

US agents including the American mercenary Matthew VanDyke and six Ukrainians have been caught red-handed by the NIA on Indian soil.
They were actively training Myanmar insurgents with drones, weapons, and combat tactics in India’s Northeast with the clear intent to destabilize the region and kill Indian citizens. This is not some minor border skirmish. This is hybrid warfare being run directly inside our territory by foreign powers. And yet Indian news channels and think tanks have been suspiciously quiet.
This story should be the BIGGEST headline in every single Indian media outlet prime-time debates, front-page coverage, expert panels, the works. Where is the outrage? Where is the wall-to-wall reporting? Indian news channels and think tanks must step up RIGHT NOW and actively push back against this blatant American interference. We cannot afford to stay silent or polite while foreign operatives run training camps on our land to spill Indian blood. Demand accountability. Demand investigations into the full network. Demand that our government expose every link back to Washington.
This incident completely destroys the fake “transnational repression by India” narrative that the US loves to peddle. The same United States that weaponizes Khalistan "activists" like Gurpatwant Singh Pannun and Nikhil Gupta as pressure tactics against India filing fake cases, issuing ridiculous threats, and trying to bully us diplomatically is now caught doing the exact same thing, only far worse, actively undermining Indian sovereignty, training militants, and working to kill Indian citizens on Indian soil.
The hypocrisy is off the charts. They lecture us about human rights and “repression” while their agents run proxy operations to fracture our borders. This is not diplomacy. This is state-sponsored destabilization. Time to call it exactly what it is. Indian media and strategic community stop the muted coverage. Start the counter-offensive. Expose the double standards loudly and unapologetically. India deserves aggressive pushback when foreign powers treat our Northeast as their playground for regime-change experiments. The narrative is clear: while they accuse us of “transnational repression,” America is running real transnational terrorism on our territory. Enough is enough. @aravind
English

@UnSubtleDesi You need to understand that as strong as we claim to be we are a) still weaker than the US and b) still very much Indian bureaucracy-driven.
English

@UnSubtleDesi Funding & Bribes have been received alongwith promises of exclusive interviews & increased audience on all Western Social Media Platforms.
English

@UnSubtleDesi Agree !!! none of the mainstream media , newspapers are not printing a word on this ,leave apart a proper piece ...!! speaks volumes about many things , mostly very worry some for the Nation ,our Nation and its people ...till today , not one word in any editions
English

@UnSubtleDesi Obviously thet represent someone else. Why do we fund such media?
English

@UnSubtleDesi NIA arrests hardly get any coverage, whether Indian Nationals or Foreign. Check it out for last 2 decades.
English

@UnSubtleDesi Indian media are sold out media with most of the anchors and the news crew subtly pushing foreign narratives. Many have foreign shareholders.
