Today, I conferred the Nigerian National Honour of Commander of the Federal Republic (CFR) on Mr Bill Gates @BillGates in recognition of his decades-long commitment to improving lives through interventions in global health & polio eradication, education, digital innovation, and agricultural development, especially in Nigeria and across Africa. Bill Gates' contributions have saved millions through the Gates Foundation @gatesfoundation and many such initiatives, uplifted communities, and inspired global action. We also had meaningful conversations on deepening our collaboration in health systems, innovation, and youth development, reaffirming our shared belief that real progress begins when we invest in people. Nigeria remains open to ideas, partnerships, and actions that move humanity forward. ~ Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR

Nigeria is truly a place where comedy scripts write themselves. President Tinubu just gave an award to Bill Gates — yes, the same Gates you know — despite his GMO crusade that’s been raising serious health concerns globally. 😂 For those who don't know, Gates has been one of the biggest promoters of Genetically Modified Crops in Africa. While other countries are banning certain GMOs over safety and ethical issues, we’re here clapping for him and handing him plaques. Classic. You would think with all the local food insecurity, strange illnesses, and farmers crying foul over seed monopolies, our leaders would be cautious. But no — award him! Make it shiny. Snap a photo. Caption it for services to humanity. Because in Nigeria, it’s not about the harm you cause — it’s about how famous you are when you arrive. Next up, we might give an award to the inventor of malaria if he promises a TED talk in Lagos. 🤡 I genuinely want to know: What exactly has Bill Gates done for Nigeria besides test runs and agricultural experiments that nobody voted for? I'll wait. But hey, as long as there’s an event, aso-ebi, and a headline, the people in charge will continue dancing on our collective dignity alongside their senseless supporters. Let’s hear your thoughts. Are you cool with this? Or should we start nominating Thanos next year too? 😂👇 #Nigeria #GMOs #BillGates #Tinubu

May God help the little innocent Nigerians who do not know what is coming to them in the guise of Bill Gate. This is why it is not good to keep an overly aged person as a leader of a country because the person (old man) wouldn't really know the implications of what he's endorsing until it consumes the few innocent citizens of the forced country. Research on host countries that have rejected Bill Gate.

Dear President Tinubu, With all due respect, we kindly urge you to reconsider the growing reliance on foreign interests and investments, especially those that may not align with our long-term national well-being. Nigeria is richly blessed with natural resources, fertile lands, and vibrant people. The solutions we seek do not lie in the hands of the West or figures like Bill Gates, but within our own soil and communities. We do not need artificial or genetically modified interventions that could undermine our health and food systems. What we truly need is a strong investment in our own organic agriculture, local farmers, and sustainable practices that protect our land and nourish our people. Please, Mr. President, let us redirect our focus and resources to strengthen our local economy, promote self-reliance, and ensure food security through natural means. We believe in Nigeria — in our people, our land, and our future. Respectfully, A concerned Nigerian
