This headline is a little misleading. The 31 million gallons figure is the amount allowed under existing groundwater rights, not the project’s expected use. The article itself says the fully operational facility is estimated to use 15,000 to 20,000 gallons per day, mostly for standard office uses and fire suppression. For context, @EIAgov says large commercial buildings average about 22,000 gallons per day: eia.gov/consumption/co… That’s a very different story than “data center could use 31 million gallons.”

That story they just told on ABC on the 2018 NBA draft about SGA and Mikal was wrong. The Suns never had a chance to draft SGA. Phoenix attempted to trade up to get SGA with Charlotte but Mitch Kupchak then the Hornets GM made a deal with the Clippers instead. It wasn’t until after the draft was over that Phoenix officially made the trade with Philly to get Mikal Bridges. Philly drafted Mikal at 10 with plans to keep him but Phoenix made an offer after the pick that they accepted so the Suns drafted Zhaire Smith for them. They said Phoenix passed on SGA at 10 to take Mikal and that is so not true.
