gave my 5yr old his first camera today.. we about to go make some street photography 🥳

My Dad passed in 2008 from a heart attack. It completely turned my life upside at the age of 18. He was my best friend and taught me so much during the time we spent together. In 2020, my Mom asked me if I had any interest in my Dad’s old camera, and sent me some photos of it. Turns out, it was a mint condition Canon AE-1 program. I couldn’t have been more excited to have the camera. The first roll of film I shot was around my neighborhood, just getting used to the process. The next roll had some of the first shots minted in “By Way of Water”. Once I saw how well the aesthetic and experience of the ferries translated on film, I never looked back 🧡
