Today, ABHM takes time to observe Indigenous People Day
President Joe Biden formally recognized this day last year by signing a proclamation stating that, “On Indigenous Peoples’ Day, our Nation celebrates the invaluable contributions and resilience of Indigenous peoples.”

@ABHMuseum reopened to the public in February of this year.
It was founded in a storefront in 1988 by Dr. James Cameron, the only known survivor of a lynching. Dr. Cameron spoke with visitors about his experience daily until his passing in 2006. #58Hometowns with @MikeStrehlow
