Students are stepping into history through a partnership with the Hippodrome Foundation. Inspired by the upcoming production of "SUFFS," the Hippodrome Foundation developed an educational program where students explore the women’s suffrage movement and connect past leaders to the power of civic action today. We visited Ms. Trivelli’s class at Western and Ms. Toomy’s class at BLSYW, where students examined the history of the suffrage movement and began reflecting on which issues are worth fighting for today. Students from REACH! are also participating in this meaningful and educational way to celebrate Women’s History Month. The learning will continue beyond the classroom with a special panel discussion at the France-Merrick Performing Arts Center and a live performance of "SUFFS" at the Hippodrome Theatre. @HippodromeBway
