On this special day, I celebrate you, the woman who steadies me when I stagger, the love that has weathered every storm. You have been my calm in chaos, my anchor in the tide, my miracle in motion. Through time and through distance, you have stood as my balance and my blessing. Happy birthday, my dearest wife. I would choose you in this life and in every life to come. Still, always, and forever. ❤️

It is with profound sorrow and a heavy heart that I received the news of the passing of His Excellency, Major General Muhammadu Buhari (Rtd), GCFR, my predecessor, who departed this life today, Sunday, July 13, 2025, at a hospital in the United Kingdom. President Buhari was to the very core, a patriot, a soldier, a statesman. His legacy of service and sacrifice endures. He served Nigeria with unwavering dedication, first as a military leader from January 1984 to August 1985, and later as a democratically elected President from 2015 to 2023. Duty, honour, and a deep commitment to the unity and progress of our nation defined his life. He stood firm through the most turbulent times, leading with quiet strength, profound integrity, and an unshakable belief in Nigeria’s potential. He championed discipline in public service, confronted corruption head-on, and placed the country above personal interest at every turn. In this moment of national mourning, I extend my deepest condolences to his beloved wife, Aisha, with whom I have been in constant touch, his children, the entire Buhari family, and all who knew and loved him. I also extend my condolences to the government and people of Katsina State, most especially the people and traditional leaders of Daura Emirate. We honour his service. We reflect on his legacy. And we pray for the peaceful repose of his soul. As a mark of respect to our former leader, I have directed that all national flags fly at half-staff across the country for seven days from today. I have also summoned an emergency Federal Executive Council session on Tuesday, dedicated to his honour. The Federal Government will accord President Buhari full state honours befitting his towering contributions to our country. May Allah forgive his shortcomings and grant him Al-Jannah Firdaus. And may his life continue to inspire generations of Nigerians to serve with courage, conviction, and selflessness. Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR President, Federal Republic of Nigeria July 13, 2025

STATE HOUSE PRESS STATEMENT    PRESIDENT TINUBU ASSURES OF GREATER ECONOMIC OUTPUT, WELCOMES THIRD QUARTER GDP GROWTH FIGURE   President Bola Tinubu has assured Nigerians of better economic output as the economy continues to expand following the newly released third quarter Gross Domestic Product report by the National Bureau of Statistics.    According to the NBS, Nigeria's GDP grew by 3.46%, compared to the 3.19% growth recorded in the second quarter.    The growth in GDP shows that  President Tinubu's quest for a more robust boost in the economy and, by extension, a better standard of living for all Nigerians is on course.   The 3.46% growth indicates Nigeria is recovering from the reforms' unintended effects.     President Tinubu said his administration has not and will never forget his promise of a $1 trillion economy by 2030. He assured that once the economy is rebased by early 2025 to capture its dynamism and record significant changes that have occurred in different sectors, the country will be on its way to shared prosperity.   The latest GDP growth in the third quarter is driven by key sectors such as Agriculture, Transport, Education, Health, Real Estate, Finance and Insurance, ICT, Trade, and Manufacturing.    This performance once again shows that the reforms embarked upon by the Tinubu administration to reposition the economy and ensure better fiscal management are beginning to yield fruits.   The proposed tax reforms also indicate the administration's resolve to reduce the tax burden on small businesses and spread prosperity to the poor. The new Tax regime seeks to promote equity by reducing what is known as the headquarters effect—a situation where states where company headquarters are based get more benefits because their taxes for the whole nation are remitted—in favour of spatial and demographic equity.   President Tinubu said, "I am excited by the latest report from the National Bureau of Statistics that our economy grew in the third quarter more than last quarter and even beyond projected estimates. While I welcome this development, the latest figure also shows the much work that needs to be done. We won't rest until Nigerians feel the positive impacts in their pockets and experience a better living standard. My administration remains committed to the welfare of our people."   The top contributing sectors to GDP in Q3 2024 are Agriculture  28.65%, ICT  16.35%, Trade  14.78%, Manufacturing 8.21%, Crude Oil 5.57%, Finance & Insurance 5.51% and  Real Estate 5.43%.   Sunday Dare Special Adviser to the President  (Media and Public Communications) November 25, 2024

I celebrate with the Muslim Ummah on the joyous occasion of Eid-el-Kabir, an event that symbolizes sacrifice, faith, and obedience to the will of the Almighty. I congratulate the Muslim faithful and pray that Allah accepts their supplications and acts of obedience. I enjoin all Nigerians to reflect on the essence of this occasion, which holds strong meaning and significance for our nation. Sacrifice and duty are essential ingredients to nation-building. It takes collective purpose, will, and action to bring about great change. I call on all citizens to spare a prayer for our nation for continuous peace and stability, while working according to purpose in promoting unity, peace, and progress. I acknowledge the sacrifices that Nigerians have made in the past year as my administration sets our nation on a firm pedestal of growth and development. The sacrifices and great expectations of our citizens will not come to naught, as already propitious outcomes are beginning to manifest with the economy strengthening and vibrancy returning to critical sectors. I reassure all Nigerians that my administration is prioritizing their physical, social, and economic security and will not relent on this noble endeavor. I wish all Nigerians happy Sallah celebrations.
