Nuestro programa no se limita a la entrega de laptops. Incluye uniformes, zapatos, útiles escolares, libros de texto nuevos, una transformación profunda del currículo educativo, atención desde la primera infancia, aprendizaje desde el juego, tutores de inteligencia artificial, la capacitación de decenas de miles de docentes y la reconstrucción integral de todas las escuelas. Pero ella vio un video de 33 segundos y le bastó para llamarlo “relumbrón político”. Por eso, uno de los mayores deberes de cualquier gobierno es impedir que pseudo-intelectuales influyan en las políticas públicas. Con mentes retrógradas no hay progreso posible.

Madam Secretary Hillary Clinton, If you are convinced that torture is taking place at CECOT, El Salvador is ready to cooperate fully. We are willing to release our entire prison population (including all gang leaders and all those described as “political prisoners”) to any country willing to receive them. The only condition is straightforward: it must be everyone. This would also greatly assist journalists and your favorite NGOs, who would then have thousands of former inmates available for interviews, making it far easier to find additional voices critical of the Salvadoran government (or willing to confirm whatever conclusions are already expected). Surely, if these testimonies reflect a systemic reality, a much larger pool of sources should only reinforce the claim, and many governments should be eager to offer protection. Until then, we will continue prioritizing the human rights of the millions of Salvadorans who today live free from gang rule. Respectfully, Nayib Bukele

Forget LinkedIn or other sites. X is the most incredible place to connect and save millions of dogs… 🐕 I help street dogs in Asia. It’s my life’s work to half the street dog population globally. 📱 Woke up one morning my phone going crazy. X users had told the president of El Salvador @nayibbukele I was the guy to possibly help. ✈️ Chatted to his team and I jumped on a plane. 5 day round trip. Chatted about how to fix the problem in an entire country as a best in class template for other nations to copy one day. Thank you X users. 1,000 días sin homicidios Me recomendaron hacer una cadena nacional y dar un discurso para conmemorar este hito histórico: 1,000 días sin homicidios desde el inicio de nuestro Gobierno. Pero creo que en lugar de discursos, lo mejor es que hoy reflexionemos sobre lo que nuestro país ha vivido y sobre todas las fuerzas que intentaron impedir que llegáramos hasta aquí. Quienes siempre dicen “¡imposible!” desconocen el poder de pedir sabiduría a Dios y aceptar ser instrumentos de Él. ¡Gracias, Dios! Sin tu voluntad, NADA es posible. Gracias también al mejor Gabinete de Seguridad que ha tenido nuestro país y a los miles de hombres y mujeres de nuestra Policía Nacional Civil y de nuestra Fuerza Armada, que arriesgaron su vida para que al fin podamos vivir en PAZ de verdad.

1. Constitutional changes need a supermajority in Congress, which requires an overwhelming democratic mandate. 2. Yes, let the people vote for whom they want in a free election. You’d be surprised how common this is in the First World. 3. El Salvador was remote-controlled for decades until it stopped taking poisoned recipes from abroad and achieved peace on its own terms. Most “concerns” come from groups that seek to dictate policy but couldn’t rival Bukele’s approval ratings if they were reborn. Try asking people in El Salvador how their lives have changed over the last 6 years and how they feel about the future 👇

Lina’s idea of democracy: 1. Tear up the Constitution if it gets in the way. 2. Let the ruler run forever, who cares about term limits? 3. If outsiders raise concerns, call it “sovereignty.” In reality? It’s authoritarianism with a palm tree filter. And the real “Golden Age” isn’t for the people, it’s for his clan. 90% of developed countries allow the indefinite reelection of their head of government, and no one bats an eye. But when a small, poor country like El Salvador tries to do the same, suddenly it’s the end of democracy. Of course, they’ll rush to point out that “a parliamentary system isn’t the same as a presidential one,” as if that technicality justifies the double standard. But let’s be honest, that’s just a pretext. Because if El Salvador declared itself a parliamentary monarchy with the exact same rules as the UK, Spain, or Denmark, they still wouldn’t support it. In fact, they would go ballistic if that happened. Why? Because the problem isn’t the system, it’s the fact that a poor country dares to act like a sovereign one. You’re not supposed to do what they do. You’re supposed to do what you’re told. And you’re expected to stay in your lane.

Esta noche, hemos hecho historia. Hemos escuchado al pueblo salvadoreño, al único que nos debemos. Hemos reformado el sistema electoral de nuestro país, lo que se traducirá en orden, ahorro y poder para que los ciudadanos decidan en las urnas el país que quieren. Los salvadoreños podrán elegir sin ningún obstáculo. La reelección presidencial ya no tiene ningún impedimento. El pueblo decidirá cuánto tiempo quiere que un gobernante esté en la Presidencia. Con estas medidas decisivas estamos asegurando una democracia más fuerte, justa y eficiente.
