You can't make this up. "This is an unserious performance about a serious problem. And this is the politics of division." The Fifth District deserves a representative who actually shows up to solve the problem. I'm Andrew Sneed and I'm running for Congress. Let's do this.

Dale Strong voted against the discharge petition that would have funded the Department of Homeland Security — Border Patrol, Coast Guard, Secret Service, all of it — except for ICE. Yesterday he held a press conference at a DC airport to talk about border security.

Your problems, not his. And we’re closing in on a year and a half since a real town hall. Representation requires real listening. To everyone. So, how is this impacting you?

What did you pay last time you filled up at the pump? Yesterday, I filled up my work truck at Costco, and it was $119.20. While Dale Strong plays politics, prices like this have become the new normal for working families. No real fight for relief. No urgency.

Progress didn’t happen by accident and won’t continue without courage and conviction. Forward ever, backward never.

Crossing the Edmund Pettus Bridge in Selma yesterday with hundreds from both near and far was an experience like none other. A powerful reminder of how far we’ve come and yet how far we have to go. Reverend Sharpton said “We are here not to commemorate, but to continue.”

Everyone, we're getting together and we'd love for you to come, we're hosting a Volunteer Social — a chance to meet the team, see what this campaign is all about, and figure out how you can be part of it. No experience needed. Just show up. RSVP: forms.gle/MNZMihuNW4DPQD…

Everyone, I hope you can join us in this excellent weather with your dogs to talk some politics and enjoy the outdoors! We are postponing the March 7th date to March 28th at the Huntsville Dog Spot, so I can spend time with my family. Thank you for your understanding!

North Alabama families serve on the front lines. Their voices deserve to be heard in decisions of war. My statement on the ongoing military operations in Iran:

February may end, but the work of remembering, learning, and moving forward does not.

Hereford, who walked into an Alabama classroom in 1963 at 6 years old and continues to share what that moment meant and why it still matters. And Hampton, who built the Huntsville Revisited Museum to ensure that Huntsville’s full history is told — even the hard parts.

Black History Month is about listening, learning, and honoring the people who’ve carried stories this state once tried to silence. Men like Sonnie Hereford IV and William Hampton.

Want to hang out outside as the weather is improving? We're hosting a Paws & Politics event at dog parks across Madison County, taking the campaign out of event halls and into the community. Come hang out with your pups, ask questions, and be part of the conversation!

Mary Binford, Ellen Brandon, India Herndon, Lou Bertha Johnson, Dora Lowery, and Celia Love made history through courage and persistence. A marker at Councill High Memorial Park now honors their legacy.

Alabama’s 1901 Constitution erected barriers like poll taxes and literacy tests to silence Black voters. In 1920, just six Black women in Madison County overcame those obstacles to register and vote.

Infrastructure failures don’t stay contained. When systems crumble, communities pay the price. As a plumber, I know the best time to fix it was before it broke, the next best time is now. Let's get to DC and Fix the House, together. #FixTheHouse #Infrastructure #AL05

He became a minister, helped desegregate Mobile’s buses, joined the Montgomery Bus Boycott, and in 1957 co-founded the Southern Christian Leadership Conference with Martin Luther King Jr. Lowery later led the SCLC for two decades and marched at Selma.

Have you ever been driving down Governor's Drive in Huntsville and wondered who Dr. Joseph E. Lowery Blvd was named after? Well, Joseph Lowery was born in Huntsville in 1921 and chose purpose over bitterness in the face of Jim Crow.
