Sports legend Alex Zanardi passed away, 59. Indycar champion 1996 and 1997, in 2000 a race incident amputated both his legs. Zanardi survived with less than a litre of blood for 1 hour. Went on recovering, became handbiker, 4 Paralympics gold, unmatchable inspiration. On June 2020, during first charity relay on normal speedway after Covid closures, his handbike clinched on a truck proceeding from opposite way, resulting in a month coma. Didn’t appear anymore in public since then. His figure has no comparison in the history of sports. An unbelievable humour. Used to say: “I think my body has the right cut for handbike”
